My 1 year old DD recently switched to whole milk and hasn't gone #2 in 2 days! I gave her a glycerin suppository about 2 pm today and still nothing:( She seems pretty uncomfotable. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA

What can I do next?

When my daughter went thru the same thing, the Pedi told us to use the suppository and also 1 tsp miralax in her juice or drink; it worked pretty fast.

Diluted juice would work wonders for my son. Good luck!

Try undiluted apple juice, or karo syrup.

I had the same problem with my son. It was awful - very painful for him to go. I gave him a small amount of prune juice. Apple juice helped as well. I eventually switched him to soy milk and it worked wonders! Never had anymore problems. The issue was solely with drinking milk. He could eat cheese, ice cream or other dairy, just had a problem when he drank milk. Now at 2 1/2 he seems to have out grown the problem and is back to regular milk. Good luck.

my mother would use real no sugar prune juice deluted with water 1/2 and 1/2 for us as kids and it worked great. never had to use it on my own children, but ya might try it before you use any medication...go the natural route.
