My girl hates to drink formula, I also do not force her, she only drinks 15 oz per day, while having a yogurt, some fruit juice and cereal. Weight also very good. But still I feel like she doesn't get enough milk. Is that enough for 10 months old?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the support moms.
My pediatrician said not to force, give her as she demands, 15 oz is enough, just give more yogurt, cheese....more dairy products suitable for babies. Now she is 11 months, she is drinking 18 oz, she is perfectly healthy and in very good weight and height percentile.

At under a year, formula isn't a drink, it's their primary nutrition. They don't get much nutritional value from their food. I'm not sure what the actual recommendation is in terms of ounces, but I'd check the American Academy of Pediatrics' website, it may tell you. I wouldn't give any juice, it fills them and give zero nutritional value, it's not good for babies.
Also, I know this is contradictory to another post but it's not considered okay to give cows milk before a year. I know another poster mentioned this, and it is possible her doctor told her this, but doctors do tell moms things that do not go with infant feeding recommendations and they don't tell you this isn't what's actually recommended and that they're just doing their own thing. Cows milk does not give the nutrients of breastmilk or formula and shouldn't replace those things until the baby has turned a year. Good luck!@

My pediatrician said for my 10 month old, that 18-24 oz is recommmended. My daughter gets the low end of that,-18-20 at the very most. He also said to put formula in the sippy cup. Maybe she could drink another 4 oz or so from the sippy cup?

If you look at nutrition information for babies they need that formula, it is complete nutrition. In about 2-3 weeks you can start transitioning to whole milk, start by adding 2 oz.s regular milk to 6 oz.s of formula, stay on that for at least several dyas, I prefer a week, then go half and half, do that another week, then the next week do 2 oz. formula to 6 oz. milk. This system gives her little tummy time to adjust to each level and the transition is much better for her and for you. If you go cold turkey to milk her Poo is going to be the nastiest, grossest stuff you have ever smelled, I can't tell you how bad it will smell, there just aren't words...

I think this site is a good source for anyone needing the answer to your question.

At my daughter's last checkup (9 mos.) the pediatrician gave a range of 15-20 oz/day for formula. You're fine, plus you're supplementing. Also, the doctor (and everything I have read too) said to stay on formula until 1st b-day (guess I am strongly disagreeing with another response--sorry!). Good luck.

S.,
I don't think that is enough, but I see you are also supplementing with yogurt. If I was you I would change the formula until I find the right one. When my son was 4 months old I had to change him to regular milk because he would spit up every formula and he would be constipated (even with the low iron one). I started with three ounces of milk and three of water mixed, and as time when on I would add another ounce of milk and take one away of water, until his body got used to it. It worked for me. So if you don't find anything that she likes try doing that.
Best wishes.
