19-Mth Daughter Fell Going up Stairs and Her Teeth Are Pushed Back into Her Gum.

@ 18 months my son fell and put his front teeth almost all the was through his tongue!! We were in the same boat - he had never had a popsicle or anything - I did italian ice - it was a little easier - or you could look for a homemade slush recipe if you wanted something all natural. Like you, I felt terrible for the amount of pain he was in, but they are so resilient that by the time we were finally seen @ the emergency room he was running around playing with the other kids as if nothing happened. He is now 2.5 and still seems to be prone to those facial injuries - not fun :0)

I would go see a dentist in the morning. I thought they tried to pop them back into position ... not sure though. A dentist would be your best bet.

My daughter did the same thing. She is just fine. We did her Tylanol for the pain. She ate Yo baby yogurt, past / mac. cheese, grilled cheese in the microwave for it was soft that way. She is now 26 months and is doing it just fine. Her teeth are healthy and strong. It took a few weeks to feel better. We did take her to the dentist and the watched, they did not want her teeth to turn gray. They did tae x-rays to make sure no nerve damage. I hope this helps you out. I would call the pedi for a referral to a pedi dentist - you're going to need one anyway, so you might as well establish a relationship now. The xrays can be sent from the ER. My daughter fell when she was about 1yr right in front of me! Her teeth did move quite a bit (they sort of got pushed back not up), but we only took her to the dentist. One tooth did turn a very very light grey (hardly noticeable at all) and the dentist said we would just have to wait and see what happens with her permanent teeth. I worried about it for a long time, but there really is/was nothing I could do. We just have to wait and see. Just go with your gut feeling on anything.
