Pediatrician recommended ounce of white grape juice with ounce of water. (tried this and doesn't work) I'm already sampling different formulas with little luck. Her bowel movements vary from constipated, sticky, runny or just normal. I've used Enfamil gentlease, similac and nestle good start sensitive formulas. None of these items seem to be working that well. I feel so bad seeing her strain because she's so little & sweet. Please help!
Hello awesome moms! My problem is finally resolved, I used Nutrimigen from Enfamil and it has worked like a charm. She pooped normally this morning and me & hubby were sooo elated! Oh, you all know how stressful that is when your baby is in pain and you feel so helpless. Thank you for your kindness and helpful advice. :-)
The Same thing Happened to me with my Oldest Daughther ~~ It was so Sad to see her everytime she had a Bowel movement ...But What I did and My Doctor who is Awesome told me to put her On Soy Milk ....I use Prosobee by Enfamil . Also I gave her Manzania Tea (Camomile) ...Once a day ...and she was all better ...

Try one ounce of prune juice instead. When my dd went from breastfeeding to formula she has this problem. The prune juice worked like a charm. We now do prune in the morning and white grape in the other feedings now and it seems to work. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.
She could be struggling with the formula itself. Could you do an intestinal massage maybe? I was told to massage the left hand side, especially when my son was constipated (only happened once so I can't attest to the efficacy of something I only did once). Seems to me that your lil girl is too young to be giving her juice and/or water. Has your milk dried up? Can you try nursing and see if it offers any change.

If she can't be breastfed and seems to respond negatively to the formulas you've given so far, try organic goat's milk, available in many health stores. Many children tolerate this well, and it won't have harmful hormones or antibiotics.
Add 1/2 - 2 PB8 throughout the day....you can open the capusle and dump the probiotic into her mouth and then feed her, or add it to her bottle. I promise this will work....AND it will boost her immune system. This one works better than any other probiotic I've ever used for myself or my kids. I've also had my chiropractor adjust my baby's sacrum when they are constipated. My friend's 3 month old hadn't pooped in 6 days, even with everything she had given him, so she had him adjusted and within 30 minutes fo the adjustment, he had poop up to his neck and he slept like a rock that night. www.icpa4kids.org to find a local DC who specializes in kids and babies.

I'd recommend looking into Baby Pottying to ease her struggles. Some babies have very strong instincts not to poop on themselves, and offering them a potty opportunity makes their day! It has been known to ease a lot of baby belly troubles, as they 'get it all out' rather than over a series of diapers.

You may want to look into whether your child has a sensativity to an ingredient in her formula that may be causing her digestive issues. Maybe she's having trouble digesting a milk or soy ingredient???
My little girl did the same thing. Cry for thirty minutes before she'd poop. She was breastfed and I wasn't going to change her food. I just knew she needed to poop so I would do everything I could to make her comfortable and to know I was there.
She quickly outgrew her crys. If I recall, between 4-6 months. She's three now and loves to poop. :)
Hello, I would talk to your pediatrician about this. It could be something as simple as the fact that changing formulas can be harsh on a baby's stomach. It sounds like you have tried three types. Just check with the doctor.

Does she have a lot of gas? Maybe doing a little extra burping or leg pumping after eating would help work out those bubbles, if they are adding to bowel pain. Is she at all rashy? If she rashes easily, you might want to try a dilution of apple juice, to bring her PH levels into balance. Does she possibly have an infection somewhere on her tush or vagina? Or is she allergic to something in the formula? Have you tried breastmilk? It is very easily digestible, and not often an allergen. Worth a try. If nothing works, it might be time to take her to the hospital, make sure she doesn't have any internal problems-then again, her insides are still falling into place really. Maybe a follow up with the Pediatrician, tell her it's a no-go, and ask for other options. The pediatrician is there to help, utilize her!
