2 1/2 Yr Old Potty Regression

My daughter will be 3 in a couple months and what started out as a fear of the automatic toilets and progressed into full blown regression...
She started out being afraid of the auto toilets, then she started being afraid of any public toilet that doesn't look like a 'normal' toilet to now every night she pee's the bed and even pee's in her car seat when we are out n about. My fiance says she drinks too much and tells me to only give her one cup to drink b/t 4 (when she gets home from daycare) and when she goes to bed.. my fear is that she will get dehydrated..
She knows that she shouldn't wet the bed, which she had been doing really well with waking up at night when she needed to go, and now she won't get up til morning and comes and says 'I tee tee my bed'
I said well maybe we should start the sticker chart again like we did when she was first potty training and my fiance said I shouldn't because it's negative reinforcement (not sure he knows the meaning of what he's saying) but I think he means that it would be bad to praise her that way since we haven't used that method since then..
I'm just really unsure of how to get around all of this and help her get back to her old ways and I'm to the point where I am getting very frustrated with her, which I know I shouldn't. I refuse to put her back in pull-ups b/c I think it would just hurt my efforts.
Thinking either the potty chart or maybe a potty doll... If anyone has any ideas that worked for them please let me know.. I'm desperate!!!!
I'm pretty sure the regression has to do with the fact that I'm pregnant.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I finally gave in and put her in a pull up tonight... she wanted it off, but i talked her into panties over it (which is what we did when she was first night time potty training) I told her if she wanted just big girl panties she had to keep the pull up dry.. but then she was excited to have a pull up like her friend, fairah (she's 2 mos younger than Emma and no where near PT'd)
I am going to try the sticker chart regardless of how my fiance feels about it, and also call her dr monday to see if it could be a bladder infection or something similar (my mom of course thinks that is what it is, she's an LVN in training)
I have also been waking her up at night to potty, I don't always catch her in time, but we still go and I just change the sheets, also gonna get and extra waterproof bed cover..
Thanks so much for all of the advice... Just pretty much gonna go back to the basics...

My fiance has a new one now, he says she is a 'reward child' and I said 'uhh yeah, all 2 yr olds are!'

A few good notes, she's excited to be a big sister, every time she sees a cute baby toy she says mommy I get that for my sissy! so I hoping she'll wanna help teach sissy to potty and that hopefully will help

B.,
I think you hit the nail on the head with that last sentence. My kids (now 11 & 12) wore pull ups to bed until they were at least 4. We would just put underwear on in the morning. Have you ever used one of those seats that fit on the regular toilet? It isn't feasable to take a potty chair with you when you are out and about, but you might could fit one of those seats into a diaper bag. Make the fact that she is fixing to be a big sister really important. Get her a shirt about being a big sister and tell her that she has to be a big girl because mommy is going to need her "help" when the baby comes. It is okay to reward her for not wetting the bed and for not having accidents. giving a reward for good behavior is not negative reinforcement. Good luck and be patient. Make sure not to yell or get angry when she does have an accident.

Go buy some poise pads, the ones adults use. Put those in her panties at night. Start setting an alarm for yourself to wake her up at 12 or 1 am and take her to the potty. As for the public potties, I bought a porta potty for my daughter that goes with us. She doesn't have to sit on public potties and it's great for at the park or travel.

i haven't read the other answers but my own personal opinion is that she is having "accidents" either due to fear of the potty or just to get to you (kids your daughter's age do that) or it could be a power struggle thing or all of the above. check the sheets in the morning. my guess would be that the wet areas are warm and that your daughter woke up and didn't want to go to the potty so she just went in her bed as opposed to having a middle of the night accident.
my daughter totally regressed when my son was born. she was 3 and had been potty trained for a while. it took a little while but she recovered and is now fine. most of my friend had similiar experiences. kids usually regress when it comes to potty training at least once.
personally, i would do some sort of sticker chart or reward or something to reinforce using the potty. maybe even put enough quarters or dimes in a jar for every day of the month and each day she keeps dry, she gets to keep them and if she has an accident, one gets taken out. or vice versa with earning something each day. definitely start out small with some sort of smallish reward if she keeps dry the first day and then move on to consecutive days. then after a certain amount of dry days, she can pick out something special or have a big girl potty cake or something.
at this point, she's not going to just decide to use the potty again on her own without some sort of reward or punishment and we all know we aren't suppossed to use punishments when it comes to potty training. hang in there, we all go through this and your daughter won't wear diapers forever!!! good luck!

A post it note stuck to the sensor works great to make the flush not go off. My daughter is 5 and is still scared of the loud noise. After they finish, then you can flush it on your own.

Dont stop her drinking thats the worst thing you could do!!! Children often have a period or regession with regards to potty training its quite normall just keep asking her if she need a wee and encorage her to go as often as possible, and reenforce the fact that there is nothing to be scared of!!

First of all I hate those auto toliets too they never go off at the right time. I have found if you put some toliet paper over the sensor they dont go off. My daughter has that issue too. I would try a potty chart with stickers. I did one for my daughter after my son came along we had some regression issues too. Its totally normal. But I did a large chart and every few spaces I put a specail prize and at the end she got a trip to the toy store. But I made the things for big girl that her baby brother couldnt do yet. Go get an ice cream, a special trip to the store just me and her, sleep over at grandmas, a playdate with her best friend, you just need to find what she really loves and make that a reward. dont get frustrated and the bigger deal you make it the worse it will get. it will become a battle of wills and believe me that they can out last us. Good Luck and I hope the rest of your pregnacy goes well.

there might be something deeper going on. How long have you been engaged, it might be the change in her world that she can't handle. She won't be able to express this. I have heard Gary and Ann Marie Ezzo (Creators of the "wise" books and "Growing Kids Gods Way" series) say that if the parents are fighting or if the childs world is upset, they will act out to make the parents work together even if it is punnishing them. This might not be the issue, I don't know what is going on in your family. If it is not that, then you might try a kid potty in her room that she can get out of bed and use in the night or anytime, as for the carseat, you might just have to take her before you leave daycare. She might be afraid of the loud flushing, my kids were. Good luck.
