Hello ladies i have a question that im hoping someone could help out with. Im 2 weeks late on my period and all my pregnancy tests and blood test came back negative. Is it still possible to be pregnant? Also why would my period be this late when in my whole entire life well when i first got my period never skipped it once. Except 3 times when i was actually pregnant? Should i seek my doctor not sure what to do. No huge stress nor weight gain or loss everyday normal life so im not sure whats going on. Any feedback would be nice.

What can I do next?

I read your post and smiled because the same thing happened to me, we were not trying to have a baby and one month I missed a period (very abnormal for me) but I didn’t think much of it because sometimes it happens right? Then I started getting nauseous every day for a week (again, very abnormal for me) and I knew something was up. We bought a two pack home tester and took both over the span of 3 days, both negative. Couple of days later no period still plenty of nausea, so I went to the doc, blood test came back neg. and the doc said well sometimes this happens. A week goes by and still no period and lots of nausea (running to the bathroom at the scent of any food with any sort of flavor) and we went all out, we bought every brand of test at the pharmacy and took them all one by one over the next couple of days, (at this point im almost 2 months late) a couple of days after the marathon of peeing on sticks I had one more (generic brand) test left over, was convinced (ha ha) I wasn’t preg but decided to go ahead and take it anyway and lo and behold, a positive, a blood test a couple of days later confirmed it. I don’t have much advice for you really but sometimes like other posters have said it can take a while for your hormones to get high enough for the tests to detect. Defiantly go to your doc if you miss another period but don’t be too surprised if you find a positive on that stick soon.

Hi K. I am not a doctor but sometimes your hormone level might not be registering yet. that happen to me once i dont remember what my doctor called it but had to do with my hormone level. or if you have been stressed about anything you might be late.as for it being late as we get older our body starts to change. so it could throw it off. it could be a number of things, I would just wait for the month then go and see your doctor.good luck

i still had my period the first couple of months i was pregnant. It maybe that with you it is judt to early to detect. maybe wait a little while longer and then go back and take another test. Also my cousin had her period all through both of her pregnacies.Good luck.

You could be pregnant. Test again in a week. If you're not pregnant, don't stress too much it's not unheard of to miss a month. If you miss a second one, and aren't pregnant, go to the doctor. There are a bunch of different hormonal issues that could be causing you to miss your period. Make sure they check your thyroid.

I'd call your doctor and get a blood test. My best friend didn't get a positive home pregnancy test until she was over 4 months pregnant with her daughter.

My daughter's going to be 5 in Dec. When I was preg with her, I knew it in my heart...as we all probably did. I had to take 5 pregnancy tests though. The 1st: Neg, 2: Neg, 3: poss, 4: neg, 5 (only blood test): poss. They all were in a week and a half of each other. I knew I was just didn't know what to expect with the different results!!
Think possitive and happy thoughts. I'd wait another week or so to start worrying. ;-) GOOD LUCK!!

it could just be the birth control you are useing. But be on the safe side give it another month before you say your not pregnant. Be safe

Have you made a new girlfriend recently? Or is one pregnant and no longer having her period? How about sisters? When my sister got pregnant I was 3 weeks late about 2 months into her pregnancy because we had become syncronized. Also when we started hanging out alot she would be early and I would be late until eventualy we were on the same schedule. If your breasts are tender and PMS is out of control you probably are pregnant. Most of time none of us really need a pregnancy test we already know from the nipple thing. If you really aren't sure after your a month late go see your dr. It could be other things, but sometimes as we get older our body gets less predictable. Hope this helps. ~V.

There are many reasons it could be late. Did you recently switch your birth control pill? Or have you been on a particular pill for a long time? You might try calling your Doctor only because the pill your on might be causing this. The Doctor may suggest changing to something you - I've had that happen many times.

There are always little factors you're not aware of that can cause this besides being pregnant.

Best of luck!

Honey there are lots of reasons for your period to be late besides being pegnant. Mine did everytime I switched birth control brands, hung out with a different girl, stress, or if the amount of alone time with my boyfriend changed. As for pregnancy test my doctor always told me that if it shows up positive you're pregnant but if it shows up negative you still have about a 50% chance of being pregnant. But it comes down to knowing your own body. I mean with the blood test saying no, you're probably not pregnant. But if this is abnormal for your body and you think you want your doctors advice then go see him. It can't hurt anything by going in for a check up. But I hope everything is okay and that you find out soon.

I had a friend just go through the same thing and she ended up being over a month late. They really had no explaination for her other than sometimes your body just does these things. Eventually she got her period and life went back to "normal". Are you trying? Sometimes that can trick you body a little if you are wanting it to happen. Other than that, if the only thing that will settle your mind is going to your Dr. than that is what you should do. Good luck!
