2 Year Old diarrhea...what's Going On??

Is there some crazy stomach bug going around that I don't know about? My 2 year old is on day 11 of diarrhea. She's thrown up twice early on, but diarrhea has been the only symptom. I just started giving her a probiotic within the last few days in hopes of putting back some good stuff in her belly. She's able to eat, but doesn't have much of an appetite. She's only going once or twice a day, but she goes SO much when she does. She's on the toilet for 15 mins at least and she's drained when she gets off. The doc told me to wait it out 10 days (unless there were signs of dehydration) and then they'd want to test a sample. Well, day 10 fell on the weekend so now I have to wait until Monday. Is anyone dealing with this? If so, do you know what it is? UGH!!!
Thanks!
edit: sorry, i should've mentioned that she's eating, drinking lots of gatorade (she won't drink pedialyte), and keeping it down all day. when she goes, she does it first thing in the morning and/or in the evening. she's peeing about 4 times a day. crying tears. she hasn't shown signs of dehydration.

What can I do next?

Yes, my third child has it now. Started with vomiting and then led to a long-lasting bout with diarrhea. I had never seen so much diarrhea in my life as what my 3 year old was producing! My 3yr old and 5 yr old both had it for a long time, probably 8-10 days. She was eating and drinking normally too. I think it's just something you have to wait out, but you may as well bring her to the doctor if they advised you to do that.

I might check into food allergies. If she seems fine, it might be a reaction to something she eats on a regular basis. (i.e., flour). Good luck to you both.

11 days-too long-maybe normal-but over the top for a two yr old-take her to the ER-they'll fix it.

I wouldn't wait for 10 days, if my kid had diarrhea for that long.

I would also be concerned that her body's salts and electrolytes are being depleted. This can cause, dehydration and other health issues and dehydration can also affect the heart, for example. The heart is a muscle... and it depends on a delicate balance of fluids and electrolytes and potassium etc. Dehydration also affects the kidneys and all the internal organs.

You did not mention if she is drinking anything? Or that she is peeing normally?

Again, if that were my child, I would not wait for that long.
My Daughter had the Stomach Flu before Christmas. 3 days. Diarrhea and vomiting. And, she did get a bit dehydrated just with that.

Diarrhea.... depletes fluids too.

I would take her to Urgent Care.

I would definitely look into food allergies, or even have her tested for celiac disease. My son now 2.5 was diagnosed last summer, after a bout of 10 days of diarrhea. They did allergy testing and a celiac panel at the same time. We had no history of it in our family, so I'm just thankful our pediatrician was smart enough to think about it. A few other symptoms that we realized were part of it afterwards, was a bloated belly, and he complained at times of his stomach hurting, mostly when we got in the car, after breakfast, but I just thought it was cause he didn't want to be strapped into his car seat. He is such a happier/healthier kid now that he's on a gluten free diet.
Good luck and hopefully she feels better soon.
