Give her some children's motrin before you leave in case she does have some discomfort. Also, during take off, have her drink from a sippy cup and eat. Similar to us chewing gum. Hopefully that will work well. Good Luck!!!!
My daughter had an ear infection last week and has had two other ear infections this winter. we are going to be flying this weekend and i am concerned about if there is any fluid in her ears that it may hurt her with the pressure of the plane. does anyone know anything about this or know of anything to help prevent it or make her more comfortable?
thank you very much!!

You could try putting a couple drops of warm olive oil in her ears, it's supposed to help.
My daughter had an ear infection when we flew and I just had her sucking on a sucker and that helped because the motion is like an adult chewing gum it helps their ears pop. or a sippy cup. It's the ear popping that would be painful not even from the ear infection. Just have her sucking on something when you feel your ears going and she won't notice
We had the same thing about a month ago. My 12 month old was diagnosed with an ear infection about a week before we left. I just made sure she was drinking from her sippy cup on landing and takeoff and she seemed to be okay. I think the swallowing helped her ears to clear. If you're worried about it, you could always make an appointment to have the Dr. check her ears to make sure it's clear before you go. Good luck!
We flew the day after my 8 mos. old daughter was diagnosed with an ear infection, and she had no problems at all. In fact, since she was on her antibiotics and not feeling so great, she slept the whole way! We had asked the Dr. too and they thought she would be fine for travel. Anyway, that was our experience. Sippy cup with water or something to chew usually helps with the pressure if that is a concern. Good luck!
It could possibly do some good flying. It may help drain the fluid. I'm not positive on that though.I've flown with my daughter 4x since January this year and we only had problems once. That was because we had alot of turbulance, we were on a smaller plane and we kept circling the airport which meant we were up we were down to the airpressure was horrible. Bring a sippie cup on and the flight attendant will be happy to give juice or whatever you need.
