24 Hour Fitness/Planet Fitness

Does anyone belong to either of these clubs off 135th Street in OP/Olathe? I'm looking to downsize our gym bill and really don't need the frills of my current gym, Prarie Life. These are both close and offer a good savings. Would you recommend?

What can I do next?

I don't have personal experince at either place but my neighbor is a memeber at planet fitness and loves it. You can't beat the price either. I am planning on joining at planet fitness next month. She said the only downfall is they don't offer any classes such as step or pilates, it is strictly equipment.

I've been going to Planet Fitness for about 3 years now. You really can't get more for the price - $10/month. There aren't any classes, childcare, etc but they do have a lot of exercise equipment, weights, a circuit area, track. Everyone there is friendly. I would recommend at least checking it out!

I don't know much about these but do want you to know that many areas have community centers that have great exercise programs and equipment, some have nice pools and other activities as well. They are usually a lot cheaper and have family plans that you can pay monthly. We just got a nice one in our town and is only 47.00 a month for the whole family. My kids are loving it and since we don't prescribe to cable or satellite at home my kids are wanting to workout at certain times of the day so they can watch a tv show they used to watch on cable. The machines have tv's on them and just have to take your own headphones to listen to them while you work out. It keeps your mind off of the workout and usually helps you workout longer than normal because you want to finish the show you are watching so it is working out pretty well and a very reasonable priced outing for the whole family to enjoy plus we are doing something that is healthy.
