3 Car Seats in Honda Accord?

Next year we will have one child in a booster seat, one in a high back convertible facing forward, and a baby in a rear facing all in the back seat of a 2003 Honda Accord. Has anyone done this? Do I need to rethink the carseats? Look for ones that are trimmer? I can't buy a new vehicle, but I could invest in some seats that would fit better than what I have right now if I needed to. All the seats are independently strapped in but with no room between them or the doors when they are closed. Is this okay? Any website suggestions? Please someone write and tell me you have done the same thing and it worked great! :) Thanks!

What can I do next?

Yes, There was a mother at my daughter's preschool with a Honda accord and all three seats in the rear. Tight squeeze, but it worked. However, her accord was a newer model, maybe a 2008, so I don't know if hers had a little more room or not. Good luck!

I drive a toyota sequoia but my husband drives a honda accord (2001). when he takes his annual hunting trip and needs 4x4 I'm left with the honda. He installs a backless booster for my 7.5 yr old, and two Britax Marathons for my 2 and 4 yr olds. It fits...but its TIGHT. Albeebaby.com has britax on clearance a lot (last years colors, etc) and they have free shipping. The Britax Roundabout is one of the smallest I've read.
Good luck!

I would say to get that you need to look for the narrow booster...I know that your Accord is a little wider than my '97, but not by much...you might start your search online and compare...

Put the rear-facing in the middle. It's harder to get the baby in and out, but they should fit better that way.

you'll probably need 1, if not 2 radians. it's the thinnest seat on the market. They are very good, safe seats, but can be a pain to install

Sunshine Kid's are slim and can fit three across in most sedans. We have a Britax we will replace with a Sunshine Radian for our new baby coming soon to use in our VW Passat. The Radian can use LATCH up to 70 lbs and is the only carseat that can do so, most including Britax stop at 40 lbs. The Radian could be used for your forward and rear facing children. They also have a booster, Monterry, I believe that would fit with the Radians. I have done a lot of research on what carseat to buy here lately and am convinced that with it's steel frame (so it expires after 8 years not 5 and holds up better in crashes) instead of plastic like the Britax and it's smaller footprint it is the best buy going.

I just recently found out that sometimes even though the carseat may be "trimmer" the base is still the same bulkiness. I am in similar situation with 2 booster seats and getting ready to add a infant car seat. I was going to go with the Chicco 22 but then when I made comment to the sales person about going with the 22 instead of the keyfit 30 she told me it didn't matter b/c they use the same base. So, in your search I would make sure you are finding out the base size to make sure that that is trimmer as well as the car seat.

good luck and Congratulations!!
