My very good friend who I have known since the 2nd grade is turning 30 and I need some ideas for creative or homeaid or just neat ideas for a 30th Birthday gift...I dont want to spend a lot, but will if the right gift idea came along! I would just take her out to dinner for some girl time later in the week. That would be fun for both of you and I promise, she'll remember that alot longer...
do you knit? you could do a scarf in her favorite color. but dinner sounds fun to me!
I made my brother and SIL a basket for their wedding with homemade cleaning products. We are crunchy - so it worked great for my situation. I got the recipe from here: http://community.babycenter.com/post/a873065/homemade_pro...
It included laundry detergent, dish soap, all purpose cleaner, tile scrub, shower spray... I also made candles, toothpast, deoderant... I used mason jars, spray bottles and measuring cups from the dollar store. I attached the recipe and directions for use. It ended up looking pretty classy.
Maybe you can do a spa basket - homemade bath salts, lavendar soap, candles, oatmeal facial scrub, coconut oil for moisturizer (great for dry skin)... I believe the only hard thing to make is the soap.
Another homemade gift idea I love is putting dry ingredients for baking recipes in a mason jar. Include instructions, e.g. "add 2 eggs..." I also have a great recipe for hot chocolate with powdered milk, just add hot water.
