Hey moms!!
I feel a lot of pressure in my pelvis from my baby, I actually feel like she was moving downwards. I don't remember feeling something like this with my first baby, so I was wondering if this is normal, because I'm also feeling pain I don't think they are contractions, it feels more like stretching at the top of my belly. So I was wondering if this is normal, have any of you gone through this?

What can I do next?

Just had my second 3 months ago, and yep, that's totally normal.
Things are a lot more stretched out this time around, so when the baby is big enough to be "heavy", you feel it more!

I had that feeling for the last several weeks of my preg, and yes, it's really painful!

I'm 39 weeks pregnant with my third and have been feeling what you're describing since I was about 30 weeks. UGH! I've found that my Braxton Hicks have gotten worse with each pregnancy, and now they're getting painful.

Make sure you get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and eat healthy snacks throughout the day. If you feel your 'contractions' getting more intense and closer together then I'd check in with your doctor.

30 weeks on baby #4 and indeed have the same symptoms. I went to the docs office last week and they monitored me and the baby for about an hour. I am having contractions but not regular enough and the baby is perfectly fine. They said it just gets harder with each pregnancy. Go figure. You would think I would have this figured out by now.

Congrats and good luck!

I remember having some pelvic pain around there, but my cousin who is 35 weeks was having alot of pelvic pressure and she menntioned it to the dr a couuple weeks ago and he said it could be normal pressure OR it could be a UTI, he checked her for one and sure enough it was one.... So, just be aware.... it didn't have all the same symptoms as a UTI when you aren't pregnant... Maybe something to look into just in case! :)

Yes, with each pregnancy, the pressure and the feelings are more, b/c ligaments/ muscles have already been stretched and they start sooner each time.

I'm 33 wks with #3 and like a couple other moms have said, it seems like I have much more pain with this one. I've been having pain up under my ribs on the left side and just assumed it was due to the baby carrying higher than my boys did. But this past week it got so bad it was dibiliatating- I couldn't hardly move! Turns out it's a stomach issue and my doc put me on prilosec. Seems to be helping a bit.
As far as the lower pressure, I've found a bit of belly support makes all the difference in the world! I have one belly bra & 3 belly bands (actually 2 are the Target brand which work better for me), and they help a LOT with that lower pressure.
I've been told as long as the pain is localized and not all over, then it's not contractions. I didn't have any Braxton-Hicks with my first, but did have one bout with my 2nd.

Yes, this is perfectly normal with multiple pregnancies. :) The "stretching" you are feeling is likely BH contractions, as someone else mentioned. I felt a lot more when I was less hydrated and when my immune system was fighting something. So, as others have said, water and rest should make you more comfortable. Good luck! you're in the home stretch!

You feel a lot more and sooner w/the 2nd, the muscles have already been broken through w/the 1st.
