At my last dr apt I was only dilated to 2, and when I seen what I seen in the toilet yesterday I had to call a few fellow moms to be sure of what it was I never noticed loosing it with my first child.... I know this can happen weeks b4 delivery ... but today there has been SO much cervical fluid ( I prefer this term rather than vaginal discharge) not pink or red at all more like snot but there has been a lot when I woke up & when I go to the bathroom and just seems very "moist" very often but not slippery like water .... is this all signs of pre labor? Or am I just looking too far into things?

What can I do next?

No advise here, if you look at my last question, just have to say I'm jealous! I WANNA LOSE MY "M" PLUG (said in a whiny voice). 38 weeks yesterday, and I'd give anything at this point to have any more progression than my 2cm & HORRIBLE contractions. Even if its super gross like the "M" plug (I almost puked when it came out w/ my son... I was in the shower & it happened in my hand)... sorry TMI!

The "snot" is the plug. If you're having fluid as well it could be that your sac is leaking, in which case you need to be checked. Women can go weeks with a lost plug, but with a leaking or broken sac the baby would need to be delivered soon to stay off infection. I would go in to see if you are leaking so they can take care of what needs to be done.

You are full term now. Full term is 38-42 weeks so you would not be considered pre-mature at all.

Go in to be checked and be sure hubby has things ready in case of an unexpected delivery.

You should be checked - you are only supposed to go a certain amount of time after your water has been broken otherwise you have a higher risk of infection for the baby.

It could be nothing, it could mean you need to be induced. I would call my dr. if I were you.....

Yes, most likely is prelabor. The thing to know is that once you use your mucus plug, you should not take a bath, go swimming, or otherwise sit/submerge into water. Showers are ok.

Be sure your suitcase is packed because you will be making that trip soon.

Yep! Good luck, you'll soon have the little one with you. Although you can lose the mucus plug a week or two before birth. Congratulations!

OOOOH How exciting! Any day now then! I lost my MP early afternoon the 6th day overdue.. Id had 1 pain that I thought might have been a contraction, and then had to go to the bathroom and while sitting there going,, all of a sudden this blob of goo plopped out. eww,,lol Had a few more contractions that afternoon and evening, and went to be checked at 7pm. They claimed nothing was going on. I went home. More contractions, closer together, went back at 9:40, water broke at 10:10, he was born at 12:55am.. Funny how 6 hours before, "nothing" was happening.. fooled them didnt I..lol

Looks like you are getting closer!! Unless you are having contractions really close together - I"d not even consider calling your practitioner or hospital. Labor as much as you can at home.

Sounds like the mucus plug and not amniotic fluid. This smells kinda like bleach. Keep track of time when you noticed the mucus plug come out, what time if and when you notice amniotic fluid and also write down the start and finish times of your contractions.

With my daughter, I lost my Mucus plug and that SAME day, I went into labor.
She was born, 1 week early.
Fully fine and developed and born over 8 pounds and healthy lungs.

If I were you, I would get ready/packed for the Hospital already. And alert your Husband.
I hope you have transportation to the hospital?

CONGRATULATIONS. Your baby is on the way. Do not let anyone put a hand gloved or not into your vagina to see what is going on. Once your plug is gone and you are open you can develop an infection. When can someone look. Once you are in active labor. Otherwise doctors like to do C sections on the excuse of infection.
Just call the doctor but don't go in just yet. The mucous plug falling out a week before you go into labor is quite normal.

You should go in to make sure you are not leaking amnionic fluid if yor waters are leaking you need to have the baby soon. My water broke and I did not have the baby in the 24 hr window and my son ended up with a lung infection and in the hospital for 5 days on iv antibiotics
