On October 31 my son will be three years old. I have no idea what to do to celebrate his birthday. I am a student with little time for me to prepare a party. For his second birthday we had a party at Peter Pipper Pizza but I would like to do something different this year. If any body has any suggections I would like to hear them. Thank you.

What can I do next?

They just broke ground on a new establishment next to Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville. The place is called "GOING BONKERS" and it is a HUGE HUGE HUGE party & play place. If you've been to The Wiggly Play center at all, this place is twice the size!

I don't know when they will open, but I'm sure it will be before your son's birthday! It's worth checking into....we will probably do our party there next year.

The Little Gym, Jumping Party or anything like that would be fun. But they can also be a little costly.

What I plan on doing, is just having a fun little party at our home with games, simply yet exciting decorations, some food and cake. There are tons of great party games online.

Just pick a theme that he is interested in. My husband's favorite party as a kid, was a caveman party. They had chicken wings and pretended they were teradactyl wings, and they ran around acting like monkeys and everything. They had toy dinosaurs as the party favors and hung teradactyls from the ceiling, and they made clubs out of brown paper. Any game can be incorporated for your theme. Like pin the tail on the donkey, can be pin the tail on the dinosaur.

Whatever he likes, Halloween, superheros, a favorite cartoon character, dinosaurs, pirate, sports, racecars, jungle, bugs... just browse online and there will be tons of ideas.

Here's some places to start idea hunting:

My son turned three in March and I like you had no time to plan a party as we had just had a new baby. We did a party at pump it up and it was GREAT! The kids loved jumping on all the bouncy things and they provide staff to care of the children. They have a staff that gets the party room ready and decorated and they serve the children, write down the gifts given, and they CLEAN UP! It was the best party ever. All I did was call and schedule it and bring a cake!

My son will be turning 3 in September and I'm planning a great party. (Well I think it's great.) He likes dinosaurs. I'm making the invites on the computer. I found a dinosaur balloon kit, how to make dinosaurs with those long balloons. PIZZA(I also did pizza last year), cake and Ice-cream a dinosaur egg hunt, pin the tail on the dinosaur(I draw it), dance and freeze, Take your picture with the Blow up T-Rex and a simple pull piñata. Last year it was trains. Pin the smoke stack on the train, take your pic as a conductor( I made a cardboard train), dance and freeze, and a jump house.
I LOVE putting together parties. Just think of a theme and run with it.

We had my daughters second birthday at The Little Gym and it was wonderful; we were able to have children of all ages. The staff did all the set up and cleaning. They had activities for the children that was led by the staff, even when it came down to present time they had someone keep track of the gifts so I could write Thank you notes later. All we brought was the cake and some party goodies, and we were able to focus completely on her. It seemed that all the children really enjoyed it.

Last year for her third, we did the ever popular Chuck E. Cheese, what three year old doesn't love Chuck E. Cheese. To avoid the Saturday rush we actually did it on a Monday evening around dinner time. We almost had the whole place to ourselves and we had a great turn out, and if you go online there are deals for having your party during the week.

Just remember-He is three, He will LOVE anything you do for him; I think a lot of times as parents we go way over the top trying to keep up with the last parties we've attended (I'm guilty) and forget their little hearts could care less.

Good Luck and God Bless!!

My friend does party planning - her cakes are very resonable so I'm assuming that is too. I can give you her info if you'd like. I just had my son's - we did a kite flying party with decorating the kites - the kids had a blast - I got ones that everyone could fly and balloons for the babies to pretend to fly.

My daughter is also turning three in October. We will be going to a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound again this year. We went last year and all the kids had a blast. It is free to get in, and they have bounce houses, face painting, food, hay ride, mazes and all sorts of things, for goody bags we just let all the kids pick a pumpkin and I gave them a decorating kit. GOOD LUCK!!!!
