3Rd C-section?? or No??

I just want some opinions on this matter because my hubby and I are THINKING about having a 3rd.... =)
Both girls were c-sections because i have a very narrow pelvis that just won't open up to deliver. Really sad about that, but I am very happy and VERY blessed to have the two.
But we'd REALLY like to maybe try for a 3rd, but we both are a bit scared of going through a c-section again. I hear SOOO MANY things about it, but honestly, my OB/GYN was GREAT! and my body healed very quickly! she says that i'm in really good health, BUT i just recently found out that her office no longer accepts the insurance plan that my hubby's job has. BUMMER! SO NOW I'm a bit MORE scared because 3rd c-section AND a new physician doing it.
any advice? words of encouragement?... maybe even doctor's names??
we are in the PV area currently, and hope to stay in the North Phoenix area. We delivered our other two at Good Sam. love it! but not sure if we can go back if a Dr. we find will be there.
Thank You!

S.,

My OB works at the same office Liz mentioned- Camelback Women's Health. Dr. Gregory DeSanto- he's a high-risk specialist and was great w/my labor and delivery. I wasn't high risk at all, but he delivered my cousin who had a knot in her cord and my other cousin's wife's baby- and she ended up having some placenta issues. He was GREAT at following my birth plan and was very calm about some odd BP issues I was having. Again, I didn't have a c-section, but I was very comfortable with how calm and professional he was about everything, that had I needed one- He would have done a great job.

Good luck!

Hi S.,

Congrats on going for number 3. Kids are fantastic. I don't think a 3rd c-section would be a problem. I have only had one c-section but I healed quickly and am so blessed to have a beautiful daughter.

My ob/gyn was awesome. Her name is Kathleen Schwartz and her group is Camelback Womens Health. They have two locations - Tatum and Cactus and then Camelback & 32nd Street. She practices at Good Sam as that is where my daughter is born. She is a fantastic doctor and all of her LNP's are fantastic as well. The Tatum office is ###-###-####.

Hope this helps.

L.

I had 4 c-sections with no complications--- though if your is youngest is less than a year wait at least a year so you are fully healed. both physically and mentally. I can't help you with doctors and hospitals because I had my children on the east coast.
