It sounds like she's not ready. Most pediatritions recommend starting between 4 and 6 months depending on the child.

Does your child need to be given cereal at this time? If yes, then you can try adding some to her bottle. If no, wait a few weeks and try again.

I agree with the other posters and suggest waiting. It doesn't seem like your little one is ready. Also, I found that making the cereal a little thicker (as opposed to thinner) helped to get it down and didn't dribble down my baby's chin. This way, she knew something different was going on (not just a dripping bottle). It takes some babies longer than others to figure out eating so hang in there - it will work.

Try later- this is a sign she's not ready. Every baby is different- my 2nd son wasn't ready to swallow til months after his older brother was. There is no rush to get her on cereal anyway- especially not til 6 months.

Babies have a reflex that causes them to push things foward in the mouth instead of backwards, that they outgrow. You have 2 options. Either stop giving the cereal for a week or so and then try again. Or make the cereal a little more liquidy so it's more like formula. I would make 2 oz of formula and only a tsp or so of cereal, so it has no thickness at all.

why did you start cereal so early? i didn't until close to 6 months of age. I believe I was told their digestive system isn't developed so early and that you could run the risk having the baby develop food allergies by starting at 3, 4 months. so,I'd say stop the cereal, and try again around 5, closer to 6 months of age
good luck

You should not start cereal until 6 months or older, according to current recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
