why do you want to control it? it's HER. It's how her DNA was put together.

DO NOT try and color her hair or change it. My oldest son has two platinum patches in his blonde hair. He will most likely be platinum by the time he's 30. His uncle and grandfather were this way.

Love her for who she is, not the color of her hair.

It is just her genetics...sometimes a person is born with hair cells that produce less melanin. It makes her unique. In my opinion it is a part of the beauty of the world in that we are all different. I don't think you have control over it...just have the attitude of this is her "signature look". Everyone should rock their own look in life and be proud. :) (PS - Don't fall into the trap of believing the beauty industry and culture that teaches women that there is only a specific way to be beautiful)

Vijay,

Welcome to mamapedia.

You can't control it. It's her hair and her genetics. My aunt turned grey at 19.

You can take your daughter to the doctor and have tested runs, but overall? There's not much you can do. I would NOT freak out over this. I would NOT color my daughter's hair. It's who she is.

Good luck!

Genetics - and there's nothing to do about it.
Think of her more as a platinum blonde - it can be very attractive.
I would not try to color it.

I would ask her pediatrician. White hair in a child can be a sign of a vitamin deficiency (B 12), anemia, a thyroid condition or it could be just her genetic makeup.

Asking here will not give you an answer. Talk to her doctor. You have to rule out a medical condition, unless she was born with patches of it (which you have not indicated.) Being born with patches of white can be a birthmark.

Vitiligo is a possibility if it is a patch of white hair.

Do you mean she's a blonde? Are you darker and daddy darker and she's light/has light hair?

Is this a sudden thing? She had a different color hair and now it's white?

Has it always been white? Then she's a toe-head. It's common in kids. She might not even have blonde hair when she grows up. I grew up next door to a girl who had snow white hair all through childhood but once she hit her teen years her hair started getting darker. Now it's dark but she bleaches it every couple of weeks to keep it white/blonde.

I don't really understand what you mean with white hair?

My brother have had white hair until he was in 1st grade and now it is blond. He has blue eyes and very fair skin color.

However, maybe your daughter is an albino child. But if so your pediatrician would have recognized it.

In any case there is nothing else you can do and accept your child for what it is and it is beautiful!

I would talk to her doctor just to rule out a medical cause (anemia and thyroid). It can just be genetic - in which case would think other family members would have had same thing.
