My daughter is 5 years old and has mature body odor and is now growing her breast buds. She is not over weight and I can't seem to find other moms who have daughters/granddaughters or someone they know with this situation. I have already begun switching her over to organic beef/dairy and some others. She goes to her specialist on March 28th. Anyone help??

What can I do next?

What your daughter is experiencing is commonly known as Precocious Puberty, which is an onset of puberty, or partial puberty before the age of 7 or 8 yrs old. Here is a good website that offers information on Precocious Puberty.
Have a wonderful day,

Good for you for switching to organic meat/dairy--but also get all organic food-- pesticides act as endocrine disruptors. and of course don't use any petro-chemicals in or around your home. Parabens in body care products are also a very common culprit--look at health food stores for producst without these preservatives

My oldest daughter is 8. She wears a training bra, and so do ALL of her friends. (None of these girls are overweight either.) My daughter also started having body odor (underarms) when she was probably 6 or 7, and she now wears deodorant regularly. This is somewhat alarming to me since I don't recall wearing deodorant until I was 12, but it certainly seems to be common these days. I switched to organic milk & meat to minimize the hormones she ingests. I don't really have any other advice, but I just want you to know your daughter is not alone.

Also, check your products. My friend's daughter had the same thing starting, and she found a link to precocious puberty from using products containing tea tree oil and lavendar.

D.,
my daughter just turned three at the end of january. i told my mom she had some serious body odor, but my mom thought that it was just the common little kid stink. i told her, though, that my three-year-old daughter smelled like a grown man who had been working construction all day in 80º weather! it's terrible! she's not overweight, but still has baby chunk on her. (my daughter is in the 97th percentile for both height and weight.) she has had little breasts since she started putting on weight after birth - she never lost the "baby boobs" that both boys and girls can develop. anyway, i asked her doctor about the body odor and while she was a bit concerned about it, i was given no information except she told me to put deodorant (not antiperspirant) on her. i still don't know what's causing the body odor, so please, if you do find out any further information, send a note my way. her doctor was not much help. i know most kids don't get that body oder until puberty - like 11 to 13 years old maybe.
