60 Year Old Seeking Work

My mom is approaching 60 and having a hard time finding work...even an interview. She has a college degree in Fashion and has owned her own business for 20 years. She loves crafts, sewing, creating, children and organizing. What do you suggest she do or do you have any ideas? Something with benifits is even better.

What can I do next?

What about something like JoAnn's (the fabric store) or something like that? Or a Hobby Lobby? just a few suggestions. Good luck to your mom!

How about applying to a school district as a teacher's assistant?

As I read your request and your mom's interest, the first thing that came to my mind was a place like Hancock Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Walmart...something in the craft/fabric sections.

Good luck

I agree with the other moms re. the hobby stores for benefits, etc. If she still has the time depending on her hours, she may be able to teach at home. Over the summer, I shuttled a child to a private home for art lessons. You could promote her through your business, and perhaps your PTA would allow her to advertise. Some schools also allow people to put flyers in the kids weekly packets. Good luck!

Has your Mom thought about working for a Direct Selling Company? If so, have you heard of Scentsy "Authentic Wickless Candle"? Extremely safe w/ no wick, soot, lead, or flame. I would highly recommend starting a Scentsy Business! IT has been an amazing opportunity for my family and I.

Our warmers are heated by a 25-watt light bulb in a 2-piece warmer, our candle bars are made of a soft wax packed full of incredible scents. With a burn time of 60-80 hours per Scentsy bar (and sometimes more), over 80 scents to choose from, a wonderful selection of warmers, plus car candles and room sprays, there's something for everyone.

If you are considering a home business, this is a great opportunity for you to get in early with a company that I know will become a household name! Ask me about MY SPECIAL for anyone interested in BECOMING a Scentsy Consultant in the month of September! THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO START YOUR SCENTSY BUSINESS since our New Fall & Winter Catalogs has just arrived.

Have a Scent-Sational Day!
