This does not sound like a delay. Some kids don't roll over right at 6 months, and as long as she is holding her head up and using her hands, even if she is not yet holding her bottle, you are just not to a point where there sounds like anything to worry about. If you see something odd that you are not able to get across here in words, I would absolutly show the pediatrican what you are worried about and let them help you decide what to do.

She may not be holding her bottle because she wants you to hold it, and many kids don't like tummy time. You can keep trying, but don't get her too upset, just do what you can because she needs those muscles. Maybe if you lay down too she might like it better, but don't count on it!

What does her pediatrician say? Discuss this with him/her.
Here is O. general (note: general) guideline for milestones:
Timeline of Childhood Milestones
2 Months Smiles at the sound of your voice
3 Months Raises head and chest when lying on stomach
Grasps objects
Smiles at other people
4 Months Babbles, laughs, and tries to imitate sounds
6 Months Rolls from back to stomach and stomach to back
Moves objects from hand to hand
7 Months Responds to own name
Finds partially hidden objects
9 Months Sits without support
Crawls
12 Months Walks with or without support
Says at least O. word
Enjoys imitating people

As you can see--sitting without support is more like happening at 9 months. Is she rolling? Lots of babies don't "like" tummy time, but try to find ways to make it interesting for her....objects in front of her to reach for...get on her level facing her and make faces, etc. Good luck!

All babies develop differently. My son would sit at 6 months if I sat him up myself, but didn't really start rolling over on his own until 7 or 8 months.
I wouldn't worry about it unless she's 9 or 10 months and still not wanting to roll.
Don't worry momma, it sounds like your little lady is a perfect little baby! :)

Hey S. G! Don't stress too much, it's probably nothing to worry about, all kids do things in their own time. I'm a Physical Therapist and my own son took forever to crawl and walk...I think at around 7 months is when he also started rolling all the way over and started to be better at sitting alone...plus he did the combat crawl almost til he was one year old before he really got up onto his hands and knees. As a Physical Therapist I'm telling you this was a total nightmare hahah because I was doing everything to get his tummy time in and keep his gross motor skills on track...but he just had such a laid back personality, plus he was always a rather large baby (I think larger babies just don't move as easy :)

The thing to look at is her overall development...while my son wasn't on track with his gross motor skills he was advanced in his fine motor skills and speech, he was saying "mama" and "dada" by the time he was 6 months and shortly after that he was using words like "more" and "ah-done <--all done" for meals...he was speaking in full sentences at a year...when I tested him he always ended up age appropriate due to the areas he was excelling in so my pediatrician never worried...it took him awhile to walk (once he started crawling I was just so happy I could have cared less haha) but once he did he was walking down the hall...

he is still a very cautious child and timid about new activities, I can't even tell you how long it took before he would go down a slide by himself :) but I also never have to worry about him getting hurt or have to watch him like a hawk when we're out and about like some parents do. And it was kind of nice that he didn't move before he understood the word "no", it made it so we didn't have to childproof everything :)

Keep trying tummy-time, sometimes it works better when you have them on your tummy or you are down there with them so they don't just feel left in an awkward position...once my son figured out how to roll over tummy-time was a pain haha. Just keep stimulating and challenging her and I bet she'll do everything in her own time :) If you're really worried bring it up at your Pediatrician's office...but keep in mind, some doctors tend to freak out a little early if you ask me, I've seen many normal children in my office for that very reason :)

If you are worried about her development, talk to her doctor; chances are, she's fine, not all babies start crawling at six or seven months.

Sounds like my daughter. She always wanted to have her hands free for something "fun" so she never crawled. She scooted on her bum. And she loathed tummy time so much we just gave up. I don't think that she ever really "rolled over." She could maneuver herself all over the place before she could actually roll. My daughter is now five and can hop, skip, and jump with the best of them. Clearly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as she's hitting her fine motor, social, and emotional milestones, she's probably just not a "gross motor" kid. Good luck.

My oldest was very slow on gross motor skills, and very fast on the fine skills. She was also slow to talk, but once she started she learned stuff so fast and has been a great communicator. She didn't crawl until 9 months or walk until 15, but she's doing fine now at 3 years old. :) Each kid is different. Just keep presenting her opportunities to do these things and strengthen the muscles she needs to move with and one day she'll do it. Your pediatrician will let you know if you need to work harder in a certain area or if there is any concern, but what you're saying sounds pretty normal. Oh, and about the bottle, my 3 year old wouldn't hold her own until about 14 months old, she was so used to me holding a bottle to feed her that she had no interest in doing it for her self. :)

Don't worry too much! There is no certain point at which all babies crawl. My daughter didn't start crawling until 9 1/2 - 10 months and was walking at 12 months. They will do it when they are ready. I promise! :)
