Hello mothers. I have a question about stay home jobs. Does anyone know of a good one. I have three children. And hubby is talking about leaving because he cant take it being he only one working. But for me its hard to find a job, first reason is because I dont have a highshchool diploma or GED. Second I have MS and MS makes it very hard for me to work. Plus I want to stay home with my children but would love to help hubby pay bills. So I was thinking with a stay home job I could do both. So I was hoping maybe someone would know of a place, because I cant live without my husband. Him and our children are my world, just dont find it fair sometimes that he says I'm just lazy and using my MS as an exuse to not work.

What can I do next?

I babysit out of my home during the day. I watch 2 separate families on different days of the week. It doesn't bring in a lot of money, but it helps pay the bills!
I know a few moms who do sell Tupperware, Pampered Chef, and Stampin' Up to help bring in income. Those types of jobs are nice, because your hours are really flexible; you can do parties on weekends or in the evenings when your husband is home to be with the kids.

I use skills to earn a little money on the side (sewing, cooking, baking, etc...). But if you don't have something specific you're good at that could earn you money, try www.elance.com. If you're serious about earning some money, this site has jobs galore in several different categories that are specifically designed for someone working remotely. It will take some time to get yourself set up with the site, and you'll have to remember that it's just like applying for a job, but I'm sure you can find something that you're qualified for and that you can do. These jobs are legitimate, and the site has been featured on quite a few talkshows (like Oprah, Dr. Phil, etc...). And there's no up front cost to it. You don't have to buy products to sell, pay a fee to get your "business" started, it's not MLMs. You would be "hired" and working for an actual company for each job you do. It can't hurt to take a look, right?

B.,
Hello, I was just introduced to a great opportunity for stay at home moms! It is in the beginning stages, so the potential to make really good money, is great. If you are familiar with Facebook, an application will be launching soon to help you with your business.
Go to https://www.myefusjon.com/eutah and view the videos.
Let me know if you have any questions or would like a sample.
I hope you find what you are looking for in the difficult economic time!

If your husband wants you to work I would give him some figures to sit down and discuss. You have three kids so look up how much it would cost for daycare for them. Also pull together figures of what jobs you can do and how much money that would bring in. That should put things in more perspective for him money wise. Then I would bring up values that you want to raise your kids with. Work schedules and family time. Try to get on the same page. I have had this discussion with my husband and when we put the figures together I am not going to bring home enough to make it worth having someone else raise my kids during the day.
Hope that helps you,
A.

what about getting your GED first? that will help greatly towards getting you on the road to a good job... having two small children at home limits your options as well because (to me anyway) there is no sense in working if all your money is going to go to childcare.... but perhaps if you got started on your GED, that would be a path to a better job and/or career.

I work part time and fill in extra hours with some bookkeeping from home... it is nice and flexible. with just a couple classes at a local junion college, you can make a pretty decent amount of money... when really a lot of it isn't more complicated than keeping a checkbook. if you have basic organizational skills, it isn't too much more than that.

and just my two cents on those social/sales jobs like mary kay, scrap-booking, etc. it is actually quite difficult to make real money doing those... its one thing if you have a lot of contacts and are very out-going... but really while i realize they are legitimate businesses, they also have weird income schemes and some are just legal pyramid type scams... just be careful and do your homework if you opt for one of those types of businesses.

Hi B.,
Wow, you are in a tough situation. Are you getting SSI for your MS? If you want to be home you should be, I would think with the MS you would want less stress, not more. Is there any way you can comb your budget and cut back in any way? And if he will do anything for his kids he should take care of their mom! Girlfriend, you are so not lazy, you have an infant! Take care of your family by taking care of yourself so your disease does not manifest faster! And by the way, work from home jobs are a myth, you are either watching your kids or they would need to be in day care while you work at home. The best solution might be to take in kids to watch, but again is it worth the extra stress? And definatel stay away from the multi level marketing like Mary Kay, Arbonne etc, ( anything where you give them money first is a bad sign) I agree with some of the others, get that GED, then maybe community college and even a university. Maybe you could finish school by the time your baby is in school and then go to work( and it will go quickly) Hang in there mom.

As someone else suggested...Elance.com is great but very competitive as everyone seems to be on there now. Have you thought about doing a preschool in your home 2 days a week for 2.5 hours? You do not need a degree for that...you just need to be really great with kids. There are tons of free resources on the internet. Charge between $55-$85 per month per child and that will help a little bit.
Definately DO NOT get involved with any multi-level marketing companies such as Mary Kay, The Body Shop, Monavie, eFusjon, Xango, Tahitian Noni, Pre-paid Legal, ACN, blah blah blah.... Especially Monavie, eFusjon, Xango, & Noni -- you can find similar product at Walmart and Costco for half the price and none of them have enough Acai Berry in it to really effect your body. Perhaps you have a local newspaper that is looking for someone to do some freelance writing? What are you good at?

I am a stay at home mom that works from home. I work with a team of moms and we have partnered with an international wellness company. There is no inventory to stock, no parties to have, no cold calling, no selling, and no risk. I really enjoy what I am doing and the products that they have introduced me to are great. I love the fact that they are safe for my kids to use. If you want more information please email me at ____@____.com or visit my website at www.internetceomoms.com/kammicorman.
