I heard about the new "diet" acai. It's a berry that is suppose to help you lose weight (5-10 lbs. a week). Has anyone tried it??

What can I do next?

I have heard of acai and that it is very healthy for you. I believe that healthy eating and exercise is the best way to lose weight. But sometimes I just needed a jump start to help me. I found that HCG was a wonderful help to me! I found a trusty online company that has been excellent to work with. I believe the website is www.hcgweightdrops.com. Good luck to you!

Acai is one of the "superfoods," (also blueberries, eggs, and eggplant, etc.) that is extremely rich in nutrients per the numbers of calories. This means that they are very valuable foods, but they aren't magic. I would be very surprised to hear that there is any healthy diet that can encourage weight-loss of 5-10 pounds a week.

This berry may have some health benefits, but that doesn't mean that any product claiming to have it as an ingredient is any good. With any product, make sure there is peer-reviewed research on the actual product, or there is no science behind it. These kinds of things are the "snake oil"of our day.
If you are interested in a weight management system that does have clinical research behind it, let me know.

HI A.,

Nutrition is the key to weight loss. Acai has nutrition but no more than a lot of other foods. It has antioxidant qualities but according to the documented research that I have, the super juices, Acai, Noni, and Goji, have less antioxidant qualities than Welch's grape juice. Organic grape juice has tons more.

I always advise an absorbable multivitamin/mineral complex. My husband lost 110 pounds with me simply getting him healthy. The first 60 pounds he dropped with no activity change and no diet change. He decided to put it into high gear and lost the additional 50 pounds with the vitamin and exercise. (After he started losing the weight, his best friend tried it and lost 50 pounds himself.)

There is no quick fix to weight loss. The body balances itself if it is healthy and that has to come from nutrition.

Hope I helped!

M.

These are said to benefit weight loss:

Water- copious amounts of it.

Stopping ALL soy (watch all processed food labels- soy isolate, soy lactate, soy lethicin, soy casienate, soy extract, soybean oil, teqtured vegetable protien, etc) . Soy acts as a hormone (estrogen) which will put weight on- especially around the middle.

Stopping all high fructose corn syrup (again watch labels).

hi. Acai is not for weight loss. It's not a diet. It's a fruit. It's extremly good for you and keeps you healthy with a good immune system, but it does nothing for weight loss. I take 2 pills of 100% pure freeze dried acia berry every day. I have noticed I'm not as tired as I used to be but I think that's because I'm healthier now. I have not been sick at all this year. But, it's not for weight loss. All those companies that say it is, is just scamming you. BUt, it is very good for you.

Acai is a "superfruit" because it's rich in antioxidants. It's good for you. But it's not weight loss. The so-called "acai diet" is another fad and not a good idea. Any diet that seriously restricts your food intake to just a couple of foods is not safe. The best way to loose weight is by cutting back on the amount of food you eat and increasing your exercise and water intake. And you shouldn't expect to loose a lot really fast. 3-5 lbs a week is the most you should expect, and that's if you've got a lot to loose. Generally, 1-3 lbs a weeks is safest, and means you're making a lifestyle change that will be possible to maintain long term (and hence avoid gaining it all back when you're "off" the diet)
