Advil may, sometimes, take care of the symptoms, but it reeks havoc on the kidneys and liver taken continuously. A Rheumatologist for a physician. Also, try raisins soaked in gin, the recipe you can google, helped my Mother.

As Patty mentioned, there are supplements from Shaklee that can help you. I know others who have used them and benefitted greatly. I hope you will let her help you.

I used to feel the same way until I had surgery for something else. While recuperating from surgery, I did not have any products that contain equal (aspartame) because my Mom was here and she has said for many years how bad that stuff is for you. Well, after 4 weeks of no aspartame, my joints and body no longer ached all the time. Read your gum labels, cause it's in there too, even the ones that are not sugar free. I only use splenda now or stevia and it's made a huge difference for me. Last week, I had a Diet Dr. Pepper for the first time in over a year and my hip joints were killing me for 4-5 days. I won't make that mistake again. Mom was right, Aspartame is a BAD, BAD thing.
Hope this helps,
K.

S. R,
I am a Shaklee Independent Distributor. There are many natural things you can take that could help with your arthritis. I would be glad to tell you about them. Advil over time will hurt your stomach. Be sure you eat well each time you take it. I take different herbs as I used to have back pain, hip pain, elbow pain. I am much much much better. My mother struggles with arthritis and I have put her on another product she prefers. The swelling in her thumbs went down within in a week.

Of course you could see a rheumatologist and there may be a medication that could help you as well.

If you would like to hear about some natural options let me know. I will be glad to tell you about them. I believe there are things you can do to help you enjoy that 3 year old.

you need to see a rhuematologist for the arthritis, and if you are having all over aching (similar to how you feel after your work out too hard, or when you have the flu) then you need to have them do a pressure point test for fibromyalgia, because that is how it feels. You should also look into switching all of your cleaning and body care stuff to naturally based ones. Caustic chemicals can cause mass issues for people with auti-immune disorders. I have fibromyalgia and a joint disorder that causes nerve pinching and pain similar to arthritis. i switched all of our stuff over to naturally based over the end of the summer and my pain is a quarter of what it used to be now and all i had to do was switch my brand name. i wish i would have known before i blew so much money on prescriptions and MRI's. message me if you want! i totally know how it is and i can let you know where i buy all of my stuff too. the whole foods store was just too expensive for us.

I have arthritis throughout my hands but I need my hands for work. I take cinnamon pills and drink apple cider vinegar every day and it really helps. I would go to a naturopath and get more ideas that way also.

Have you looked into a naturopath? I had achy hip joint that I was in physio for before I went to a Naturopath last year. They diagnosed me with intolerances to wheat, dairy and soy. By dropping these items from my diet and adding more fresh vegetables, the joint pain disappeared in less than 2 months ... and I also dropped 20 lbs by not loading up my system with the items that were toxic to it. My company health plan paid for the visits, I just had to cover the remedies out of pocket.

Hello S.,

As mentioned before, you need to se a rheumatologist. Have them check your vitamin D levels. Also avoid nightshade foods (tomatoes, tobacco, eggplants, potatoes, peppers and SPINACH! those tend to increase arthritic pain. It would be good for you to find yout if you are gluten-intolerant. (check out enterolab.com). Good advice already, take omega 3-6-9 oils, plenty of vitamin D and get more magnesium in you. (they always talk about calcium and we need almost as much magnesium too!)
Good luck! ~C.~

yes, I feel that way all the time, and I am 66, but I don`t look it . People think that I am much younger. I have always taken care of my facial skin , but I feel like I am 80 because it seems like overnight all my joints really hurt starting with my shoulder joints. I went to the rheumatologist and she gave me heavy doses of motrin and heat therapy which didn`t work , finally she gave me a cortisone shot in my shoulder and it did help for over a year , but now it is back again... I always thought just to myself that aspartame, and all those artificial sugars were to blame , but never told anyone.. I do take tylenol arthritis when it is unbearable and it really works... I am going to try and delete the blue, and pink stuff from my tea and use stevia instead, but I do love diet Dr. Pepper. I guess I am going to make some changes and see if there is any change. Thank you so much. I H. it works for me.

I have a disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis: I certainly understand feeling pain and aches. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and since that time, have learned to really communicate with my kids when I feel my body "acting up". The first year was the hardest but the aches do subside. You need to find yourself a great Rheumatologist! Frequent exercise helps to large degree, such as walking, and a healthy diet too! Good luck! - BS, Friendswood

I would recommend seeing a MD or ND who does chelation therapy. I have seen many patients who have done this type of therapy and they have had great results. I am an acupunturist and I would also recommend acupuncture. Best of luck to you.

A rheumatologist would specialize in the problems you describe. But you'll probably be put on strong meds, which I personally can't handle.

With the help of a naturopath, I found that eliminating as much tomato/potato from my diet as possible, and adding a good-quality fish oil (or other omega-3 source like walnuts) to my daily diet made an enormous difference. I've also identified a few other trigger foods and airborne chemicals to avoid. I'm now 62 and holding. Not comfortable, exactly, but able to enjoy spending days with my very active 4yo grandboy. Good luck.

I vote for the naturopathic doctor as so many medications have side effects. My daughter has had great relief from her long term medical condition. It has been well worth the money to see her not miserable any more.

Hi,
You need to see a Rheumatologist. They specialize in conditions such as arthritis. You should have yourself diagnosed to determine what type of arthritis you have. There are many treatment options that help treat pain and stop progression of the arthritis. Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon.

My joints were feeling pretty achy about 7 years ago. It turned out I was having a bad reaction the the cholesterol lowering medication I was taking. When I stopped taking the Zocor my joints were perfectly fine within 2 weeks.
