Hi! I am looking for activities to do with my 14 m.o. during the day outside of the home. Can anyone recommend any good locations to take a little one who is just now walking? I want to do something besides the park/pool!
Yellow River Game Ranch is sooo cool! It's a drive -- near Stone Mountain -- but it's pretty great -- if you can stand the heat. There's the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell/Marietta.

Check out your local library. Most libraries have special reading times for children and toddlers in the Summers, and sometimes extra programs too.

Fernbank Museum is fun to take kids to.. they have all sorts of interactive display areas for kids...
We love the Little Gym. Look online and see if there's one near you.
I always loved the zoo and the library for story time. Also, Yellow River Game Ranch was a favorite.
Join your local Moms Club (www.momsclub.org) and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). Moms Club has lots of things to do during the summer, but MOPS won't start up again until September. Enjoy it!
