I am seeking a trusted swim instructor for lessons. I have been afraid of the water for years and started lessons several years ago and never completed them. Now, with a toddler, I am committed to overcoming my fear. Any recommendations?
The YMCA does adult swim classes. I don't believe you have to be a member to take advantage of classes. I think you just pay a little extra. Also, check through the city's parks and recreation dept..

They offer private lessons through Oakmont Country Club. We had great success with them. Also group lessons, with a max of 4 students per instructor. Only downside is that they only offer during summer months.
