Advice on Arbonne Products

Another Arbonne product that is GREAT for eczema is the skin conditioning oil. This is not in the baby care line, but can really work wonders on different types of skin conditions. Hope that helps!

I used the Arbonne lotion on my son for a while (he also has excema) it worked very well, but it is expensive. His skin has gotten better as he has gotten older (he is a little over 2 yrs) now I just use aquaphor, and that seems to take care of it when I am good about putting it on after every bath.

Actually, I have found something sold by another company that works WONDERS for excema, dermatitis, rosacea, or just about any other skin irritation (bug bites, sunburn, etc.)

It is called 'Corticure Comfort Lotion' and you can find it through BeautiControl. If you need the name of a consultant, I can give you mine!

I loved the Arbonne baby line and used it on my daughter who had excema all over her body. I personally loved it and it worked great with her skin (and on mine!). However, it was pricy so I signed up as a "consultant" to get the discount. There's no volume goals to be a consultant with Arbonne, just a small annual fee, so I signed up to get the discount and didn't have to worry about selling any products to other people.

That said, I now use Cetaphil with my daughter. I found it had the same results as the Arbonne products and it was less expensive overall (and what her ped and my friend whose a dermatologist recommended). Plus I didn't have to worry about continually running out and having to wait a week for more which caused flare-ups. I could just run to the store!

Arbonne has good products in their baby line. So if your ped thinks it will work, see if you can contact someone who is a consultant to get you some samples and give it a try.

Personally, I've had eczema my whole life. I've tried almost every product out there and about 5 years ago found something so simple I feel sorry I hadn't known about it earlier.
Sesame oil and Olive oil work the best. Since it's on her face, I would suggest lathering up before bed and letting her sleep with the oil on. In the morning use a soft cloth to wipe any leftovers.
Try to bathe every other day, instead of every day, making sure the water is far from hot. Use an extra soft towel and pat her dry instead of rubbing. Make sure she stays hydrated..
We're all different, so you'll just have to work by trial and error until you find what works best for her...

I agree with Nancy.
Excema (contrary to everyone's belief) is an internal problem that shows itself externally.

Get the digestive enzymes and if at all possible discontinue any & all sugars and cut down on carbohydrates since they both feed the problem.
If you are nursing: take probiotics as well & do the same with sugars & carbs (as stated above).

Excema can be dealt with externally but it is a result (or symptom) of an internal problem.

Solve the problem and the symptoms will definately go away.

Arbonne is one of our favorite lines of products for both me & my daughter. We have used the baby lotion & baby wash for 3 years & I love it. Their baby sunscreen is also the only one my daughter is not allergic to. She also has excema & this has been our best answer. We also use the Aveeno wash & lotion - the "plain" one with the light blue lids. We have an awesome dermatologist down at Phoenix Children's if you need a referral. Good luck!

My son has had many episodes of eczema and like your daughter the only cream that was okay was vanicream. However our doctor did give us a prescription for derma smooth. It is an oil that is a corticosteroid but does not absorb into the blood stream. We love the stuff and found it was the only thing that kept any breakouts of eczema from getting worse. We have tried all the other baby products and we like Aveeno baby products plus you can get it at any store. Bu with derma smooth we don't need to worry as much about what lotion we use. If you want to use a natural product for moisturizer you can also use plan old almond oil. It is not a petroleum product and again you can pick that up at any store. Good luck.

I have two suggestions for you. My daughter had red excema rings under her eyes at your daughter's age. One doctor told us to try zyrtec in case it was allergy-related. It might be worth a try since it's OTC and you'd only have to try it once to see if it works. Also, flax seed powder worked really well. We would add a tbsp to her applesauce every day. It's natural and works amazingly well. Most stores have it in the flour section. Good Luck!

I used Arbonne's baby products when my daughter was a baby and loved their products. But, eczema can also be a result of not digesting their food properly. THere are very gentle digestive enzymes that I've used for babies with colic that would also be great for eczema.

I also want to address the "cost" issue that several moms talked about. I honestly don't understand how people find the Baby Care line to be expensive. I buy AND sell all my products for up to 50% OFF the listed retail prices. So, you're looking at spending $7 per bottle for a product that actually works AND is going to last longer than most other products because it is highly concentrated. Eczema is actually caused by allergies. It is great that you are trying to control it with creams, but you can actually naturally eliminate the cause! Visit www.naet.com. It saved my son from many problems, eczema being one of them!

First to all the "Arbonne bashers", Arbonne NEVER claims to be all natural. EVEN IF THEY WERE... many people are allergic to "all natural" things! ie, avocados, oranges..
They DO use less than 1% preservative so the products do not go bad. They DO NOT use mineral oil/petroleum which smothers the skin & clogs the pores. Thats is in just about ALL baby products/lotion/make up in the USA. They have NO chemical fragrances which MOST over the counter items do, so I CHOSE Arbonne for my 9 mo old & so do many of my friends.
Its been AMAZING for US. Aquafor/JJ etc, uses min oil/petroleum/chem fragrances..I have even noticed MANY products at the store are saying "NOW mineral oil FREE!" so obviously companies are doing their research. They might cost a couple of $'s more, but they last longer & I feel good knowing that they have a research institute in Switzerland w/ the much higher standars of the Europeans.

People become reps because the 400+ everyday, safe products are wonderful & they work! That being said, you may not be able to use ALL of them, but who cares =) Why NOT get 35-80% off w/ no monthly obligations? I became a rep to get the products at cost because they helped my alopecia/PMS & digestive issues tremendously, NOT to work the business..at first =). I began to share them w/ others, just like you recommend a movie or restaurant. No big deal. How cool that the company sends you "thank you" checks for recommending them!

there is another product called skin milk cream. it is available at walmart or walgreens and works wonders on exema, used it on my daughter when she was 2.

Hi J., The wash and lotion work and smell great for my baby and I feel they are less "perfumy" than the J&J prosudcts. They are all natural so she has a lot less breakouts with them. My friend sells it (just started recently - she's prego with her first and wants to be a SAHM so she's trying to build her business) and I am sure would give you some samples. My son, now 2 1/2, had/has sensitive skin also and is prone to a bit of eczema on his limbs. We have always used Vanicream also and that is still the only lotion I use on him. The only Arbonne product I swore by and used on both boys was the diaper rash cream and I only used it for the diaper area, but loved it for that. They do carry a whole baby line, but I never used the other products. I've been using Burt's Bees bubble bath and shampoo this past year and he has tolerated that well. I had never heard of this company before I joined a mommy group and a few of the members sold it and I went to my first party. I will tell you that I was quickly sold on the product when they did the “cracker” test of putting a saltine into a glass of baby oil which was to represent the glycerin in most lotions and then one into a glass of water to show that there is no glycerin in Arbonne products. You will quickly find two groups of people, those who love and swear by the product (usually the reps)and those who could take it or leave it. I bought the hand cream, foot cream, shampoo, conditioner and the baby line at the party I won a sugar scrub at the party also. The scrub broke me out something terrible but since I didn’t pay for it I was not to upset. They claim a dab will do you so not to overuse but my little guy is very dry so it took more than a dab. They are very expensive but if it was going to be so wonderful then it was well worth it. Anyway a few weeks into using the product I noticed that my son was actually worse off in the dryness department and actually had rashes a few time. When I asked my rep I got the whole line of BS that arbonne isn’t for everyone and that there are a few people who cannot use it. Meanwhile I am stuck with 100’s of dollars worth of useless product. I shipped it to my friend and he tried to use it with his son and it seems they had the same issues so it was promptly thrown into the trash. Now before you think that it is just me and my son that have sensitive skin, we are not biologically related so I didn’t pass my sensitivity to him. They do offer a 45 day money back guarantee but it took me a while to figure out it was actually this “wonderful” product that was our problem. We quickly went back to using Mustela products which are a little less expensive but not by much and his skin is back to being wonderful. My advise is to find an arbonne rep and ask them for the baby line samples. They have samples for most of their skin care lines and the baby one comes with the whole line of products. If your rep is willing to make a sale she will let you have more then one or two samples so you can test it out for a few weeks. I think the samples are supposed to last you a few days so three or four should be a good enough test for the skin. Good luck, I know how painful eczema can be so hopefully you can find something that works for your little girl!
