Trying to make a decision for my son who is entering elementary school next Fall. He will be 5 in January, is already reading, does basic addition and subtraction some multiplication and division. He is a very eager to please, eager to learn type child and has been in a Montessori preschool the last two years. Not sure which direction to go, traditional route or not. Any advice would be great!

Ryan is a great school, my stepkids went there for a few years. It is also highly rated on greatschools.com. If your son is "academically talented" they offer the CATS(Chandler Academically Talented Students)program but I'm not sure if they offer it in Kindergarten. Not all of the Chandler schools offer the program and the schools that do sometimes don't have it for all the grades, like Kindergarten. My stepson has been in the CATS program and I do know Ryan offered it for 1st and 2nd grades, he went to a different school for Kindergarten. I would suggest checking out greatschools.com as there is a wealth of information on there about schools. Good luck!

Hi G.,
Well I have no experience with Hull or Ryan but have had a child at one of the CTA campuses for 5 years. I have absolutly loved the school. The principal is so sweet and she is very good. The kids all love her. We have had some exceptional teachers and love the circulium. The use the Spalding reading and writing method which includes phonograms. The circulium is just challenging enough but not overwhelming (at least for my child the school does run about a year ahead of other schools in circulium). They do have uniforms but they are collared red white or blue shirts and pants or shorts that are blue tan or dark denium. I know they offer school tours so you might want to call the school that is close to you and arrange a visit. You might want to get on the waiting list and if you decide not to go just remove your name later. You might visit all 3 schools and see whcih one would best fit your son. Ok now that I have written a novel good luck with your search!! :)

I was a teacher at Ryan before I had my first son and became a stay at home mom. I ABSOLUTELY loved teaching there. The principal and dean are fantastic and truly enjoyed the staff there. I hope there is a teaching vacancy for me at Ryan when my boys are older and I am ready to return. GOod luck with your decision--I know it is a difficult one.

Our daughter was in CTA Liberty for several years and we LOVED it! Our biggest mistake ever was putting her in our neighborhood school...
