UGH., i was the same way with my sons as well. I never even gained weight. I did find Lemon (anything) to be of help. I sucked on hard candies almost all day. Regular pringles LOL also helped me when i needed it. Good luck
is there anything that helps all day nausea? i am in my 13th week of my second pregnancy and did not have any issues w/nausea w/my son's pregnancy. i have not vomited, but am on the verge every second of the day, especially when i move (and unfortunately i cannot stay prone on the couch all day). any help or advice would be appreciated.

I had really bad morning sickness with both my pregnancies.. and the only thing that helped me, was acupuncture. One session, for 1/2 hour, and it was completely gone!
My OB/GYN even recommended it, and does so for all his patients that suffer bad morning sickness.
It is really actually very relaxing, and it does not hurt one bit.

I think for my first trimester, I live off of toast, chamomile tea, cereal and peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly). I never vomited with my three pregnancies, but always felt 'off' pretty much all day. I tried to keep my foods bland (just in case). And every once in a while threw in a protein shake. Also, for me the pre-natal vitamins did a number on my stomach. I evaluated the vitamin content and ended up eating 1-2 bowls of Total cereal a day and took my children's gummy vitamins as a supplement (that way I could chew them throughout the day). Just check with your OB first. And peppermint . . . either mints or gum seemed to help. Good luck!
I had lots of all day sickness & vomiting with my first daughter and what helped was the preggy pops and lemon drops from Belli. I am pregnat with my second and my morning sickness was not as bad, but maybe it was because I was chewing on preggy pops as soon as I felt quezzie. Best of luck, it gets better in the third month.

I had all day sickness with both of my girls. GINGER was the magic pill for me. I took Ginger pills from the health food store, ate crystalized ginger and sucked on ginger lozengers also from the health food store. I tell ya, it was the only way I could get out of bed in the morning! I'd actually pop a lozenger in my mouth while still in bed and let it absorb before I even got up!
However, now I cant stand it. When I taste it, it totally reminds me of when I was feeling yucky when I was preggo.

I get severly sick when pregnant! My first son I had to have home IV's cause I couldn't keep water down! My second I was prescribed zofran, which melts in your mouth. It really helped take the edge off...didn't make me feel great, but it helped. My second turned out beautiful and happy. I used zofran with this pregnancy too! It's safe, and worth it if you can't keep stuff down or function to take care of your 2yr old! 13 weeks....I usually start feeling better about 16 so you hopefully have almost made it! As for over the counter stuff- none of that ever helped me! I tried ginger, mint, being cold, being warm, wrist pressure point bracelets, gum, etccccc...I tried it all.
Mints helped me a lot! Also, smoothes helped me, I would sometimes have 2 or 3 a day. I would make a big batch in the morning and take a thermos to work and put it in the fridge until I needed a little 'pick me up'. It eventually went away - around the 16th week or so. Good luck and hang in there.
I understand how you fell, ugh! The worst part was people kept telling me Oh it's all in your head! That made me feel worse. Are you having a girl? My pregnancy with my daughter was a lot worse than my son. I had severe vomiting for 5 months. My son was less intense and not as long. The only thing that helped I can't mention on this site. It made a world of difference and was an
RX from my OB/GYN Most people would be dead set against it. My kids are fine and healthy with no side effects.
I was the same with my second. Good news is I think relief may be right around the bend for you. I seem to remember it going away around 14 weeks. What I did was made sure I ate every 3-4 hours. Even if it was just a handful of nuts and an apple. Try to have a protein at each meal/snack. Sip an electrolyte drink. My favorite is Vitalyte, formerly known as Gookinaid. This stuff is GREAT! You can find it at REI, running stores or online. In our family we drink it when we are sick, I drank it while in labor, I drink it when I go running. This stuff is great! It's safe and natural, think of it as a healthy Gatorade or Pedialyte type of drink (only healthy!! no dyes, etc.) The other thing that worked for me, however it was hard to get going but was going on a walk or run. As much as I didn't feel like it, I'd put my 18mos old in the jogger and take off. Within 15 minutes the nausea would go away. It's getting started that is hard.
