my son woke up with a swollen eye after taking a nap and was wondering if allergies has something to do with it? this is not the first time he has had a swollen eye.

it could also be a blocked tear duct, or a sinus infection/blockage.

maybe. or maybe blephartitis. when a duct in eyelid gets plugged. you may ask your dr and see if you need to clean the eyelid area with cotton and warm water.

Well when you have allergies fluid collects and can puff your eyes up so it very well could be allergies

My mother in law smokes and when I sleep there I wake up with swollen eyes. (I dread going). Also very allergic to cats and cannot sleep anywhere near them. It could also be dust mites, be sure to change bedding weekly.
