Hi Mommy's! Hope this finds everyone doing great! I think my daugther is getting bored with her toys and feel like they've paid for themselves at this point and am ready to get more :) Always a good excuse to go shopping!
Any good recommendations of toys your toddlers are loving?!
my daughters LOVE barbie dolls, and dollhouses, or any other pretend play thing, a farm with people and animals, etc. They have had them since my younger one was 1, and they still are playing with them 2 years later. It's so fun to listen to their imaginations at work!!!!
a kitchen and food is always fun too! you can find good deals on craigslist.
My son had (still has!) a set of sturdy laminated cardboard blocks with numbers on O. side, pictures, etc. on the others that fit inside each other to store that he PLAYED with dollar for dollar just about more than anything else he has--and he has a LOT! LOL
Also, musical instruments like tambourines, bells, drum, maracas, etc.
Do you have peek-a-blocks and roll arounds? My kids loved those. Books, instruments and a toddler laptop were a big hit with them. Playhuts to crawl through, a basketball hoop, ball poppers and ball pits were also fun for them.

Can you do a toy swap with friends? The moms group I was in where we used to live had toy/book/clothes swaps every 3 or 4 months. It was great.
My daughter fell in love with plastic animals from the zoo or Target at that age but she didn't put anything in her mouth ever. We carried them (and still do) in a purse for her so she could play with them at restaurants or at grandma's. Sometimes craft stores have tubes of them as well.
Melissa and Doug toys have also been a favorite for my daughter as well as Baby Einstein dolls.
How about--a little car/vehicle to ride, and a tunnel to crawl through. I just got Fisher Price Intellicube with the peek a blocks everyone is talking about. Very fun. When you put the cube in the right spot it sings songs, lights up. It's a tall enough toy that the baby can pull up on it and cruise around it, and you can push it around too.
Mega Bloks, wooden blocks, ball popper, cozy coupe, little people bus - anything little people. Don't forget Santa is coming soon don't go too crazy right now! Oh, my daughter got her first shopping cart and doll stroller at that age too.
Anything without batteries! ;) I FINALLY figured out that the "old-fashioned", simple toys are the ones that hold my toddler's attention the best. For instance, stacking blocks are great (I don't like the small wooden ones though..they hurt if you step on them). Also, at 15 months, anything with lids (they love putting them on and taking them off).
I also do a toy "rotation". I seperated all of our toys into four seperate boxes, have one out, store three of them, and switch them out every Sunday. This keeps them new and interesting, and doesn't overwhelm toddlers with "too much" to choose from.
