Ok my son is three, and I do see several good suggestions here, but I am in the exact same boat as you. I have three boys ages 8, 7 and 3. My two older boys were trained by the age of two, and I thought for sure my youngest would be easier because he would want to be big just like his brothers. Boy was I ever wrong. He turned three in March and he still wears pullups, he is very good about letting me know when he has to go pee now, but I tried everything before even the pullups which are supposed to haev the wetness linre so they can feel the wetness. They did not work for my son. I have tried putting just underwear on him, well just this morning he had an accident in them. The only thing underwear will accomplish at first is your child coming up to you after they have went #1 or #2 and telling you that they did it. Yes I know gross and can you say big mess. But if you stick with it it will work, I have a friend whose son will turn 4 in a few months and he still wears diapers. He is just not interested yet, in his case he will go #2 in the potty, but not #1 for some reason. The simple fact is each child is different, and the situation needs to be looked at as if it were the first time you have potty trained someone, b/c what works for one child just simply will not work for another one. I am sure you are doing a fantastic job, or showing him, without forcing him. So just keep up the good work, and I promise sooner rather than later it will pay off.
