The school my daughter attends will not allow any nut products. We found something called sun butter. It is made from sunflower seeds. It tastes like the organic peanut butters.
Hi! I can't send my kiddo with peanut butter, and we've tried almond butter, but she doesn't like it. Is there a different nut that tastes more similar to peanuts? I make my own, so the nut butter doesn't have to be widely available, just the nut. Thanks, mamas.

If you make your own, you can try any nut that you find at the store. What about cashews or sunflower seeds. =)
I buy Sunbutter for my child's school lunches as it is a quick and easy option, but it is full of corn syrup and is very expensive. I usually use natural PB with no salt or sugar. If you can make your own spread from sunflowers you could avoid the addatives. I personally hate PB so I can't speak to the taste.
I like cashew butter. To me it tastes similar to peanut butter. You can make butter out of any nut and many seeds. I like sesame seed butter but it doesn't taste even close to peanut butter.
Soynut butter. It really does taste almost exactly like peanut butter. My middle child has a peanut allergy but LOOOOOOOVES some PB&J, and now she loves soy nut butter!
My daughter eats soy butter and it's good. It's so close to PB I almost can't tell the difference.
I LOVE sunflower butter. I can't eat peanuts, so I don't actually know if it's similar to peanut butter. All I know, is it's yummy :)
Try Nutella. It is made from hazelnuts. My step daughter is a peanut butter junkie and she loves this stuff. Most supermarkets will carry it.
Cashews make a great nut butter.
There is soy butter but honestly I don't know if she will like it unless you try. I tried it with my daughter because we have the same issue - sometimes she does child care after preschool and I have to pack her a lunch but no peanuts or tree nut products are allowed. DD did not care for it, so I started packing her ham or turkey sandwiches with cheese instead.
Nutella is the worst thing you can give your child. It is fat and sugar and you might as well give your child a candy bar to eat rubbed in butter. Soybutter is good and we also love cashew butter.
As a treat, what about Nutella?
have you heard of biscoff spread? its super popular in england i believe. my BIL got some for our son and it was really tasty:

I hear Pistachio butter is really good. Havent tried it myself though.
cashew. Be careful about soy...it is linked to migranes.
