I'm currently doing a one month free trial. It's 79.00/year after that. Does anyone have this and is it worth it? What do you mainly use it for? Do you find better deals on things like diapers? I'm thinking it might be good for XMas shopping and finding some good deals.

What can I do next?

I use it for free shipping on all those items I can't get in local stores and it has a better price on K-cups. It is also great for all the Christmas shopping and costumes for halloween:)
I have a kindle, so I also get to access books for free (oh glorious day!!).
While you may not find "good deals" the fact that you can find what you want (no compromise) and not have to pay to have it shipped is wonderful!!

It paid for itself in one Christmas season. My family lives far away, and being able to send all the Christmas gifts for $79 was wonderful. Through the rest of the year I have been amazed at all I have found on Amazon that I have had delivered, saving myself trips to the mall, department stores and even the grocery store. I'll renew my membership, without a doubt.

We have it and love it! We purchased it when my parents bought us a Kindle last year.

- Free book on the Kindle each month
- Free shipping on most items
- Other 'deals' with the membership!

We ordered all of our baby "stuff" through Amazon. Not only was it generally cheaper, but we didn't pay for the shipping, which was huge when you consider how big baby bedding, mobiles, diapers, etc can be!

We love our membership. But we shop on Amazon regularly. We are big into researching prices and often (not always) Amazon is the best deal. Getting packages in a day or two is a big selling point for us. We shop for seemingly everything under the sun...this week we are expecting my daughter's birthday present, some golf supplies and a pool part.

My husband has a Kindle, so he enjoys the ability to check out a book a month and watch movies on his e-reader.

And we don't have cable, so sometimes we use the free movies they offer. Their system is not as well organized as netflix, but occasionally we find something on there that's not available on Netflix and we take advantage of that as well.

You are also permitted to share your membership with members of your family (doesn't have to be the same address). If I remember correctly, you can share with four people. So we have added our parents and my BIL. My BIL enjoys the benefits so much, that he has split the cost with us two years in a row now.

I have and I love it. I had the one month free membership and then when I was supposed to cancel it, I couldn't get online for a month! So I have it for a year. That's all right because it's paid for itself and then some. I plan to keep it. I do think it's worth it now that I've had it for several months.

100% worth it!
We use Amazon for EVERYTHING now that we have prime. Seriously, I order stuff like batteries, furniture, clothes...everything.
We've more than made up for the membership cost in a month or two, and with Christmas coming, I do most of my ordering online.

I use Amazon A LOT, I mean really a lot: textbooks, books, clothes, shoes, video on demand (we don't have cable), music, electronics, toys.... so yes, for us it's totally worth it.

I really like my Prime Membership. I get free 2nd day shipping on multipule items. I also use it with my Kindle for free movies, books and TV shows. I've already easily recouped my money by using the membership. Another convenient perk, is you can order things for others on your account or if you have a Kindle, up to 3 users can be logged onto your account at a time, they also get the Prime benefits.

We really like it.

I love it! Free shipping? Yes, please!

Also, we don't have cable but we do have Roku Box. Amazon Prime allows us to view a lot of free content on it (son is currently in love with being able to watch Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman on it since we can't DVR it on PBS now) so we still get to watch shows.

I have it and love it. I just sit in my office and go shopping for Christmas gifts. Most things are cheaper or at least the same as what you buy in the store.

My kids are allowed to log on to my Prime account and yes, they can see everything I order. So what? What are the chances with everything running through there they would see the one item for them and actually put it together it is for them.

Besides they have to put their credit card info on there. Get an attitude with mom and mom is going shopping! :p

Yes, I use mine ALL THE TIME. I buy kitchen stuff and baby stuff (and gifts -- its great for LAST MINUTE gifts because it is 2 day shipping).

Definitely add family members -- they do not see your purchases from what I understand.

I have a .edu email address so I was able to get in on a discounted yearly price.

Oh, and did I mention Amazon's netflix type service? FABULOUS. Its SOOOO worth it. We pay $9.99 a month for Netflix, but probably shouldn't, since Amazon has pretty much the same selection.

Very worth it :)

We love it too! My husband buys books and other items frequently, so the $79 pays for itself over time. I occasionally buys books, but may do some Christmas shopping for my kids and hubby. I don't see the things my husband buys, so it would be good for keeping things as a surprise.
HTH,
A.
