OMG this happens to me all the time. we were stuck w/ this for like 3 mo!!! I was lucky and it just worked it self out (see I am a SAHM and did not need to be up so we went w/ it) but I do agree w/ the other post you should try to wake up on time even if you did not get much sleep bc she went to bed late.....I could not do it I was to tired....so I wish you luck. If all else fails you could ask your dr. good luck. I feel your pain, last week we were up to 4 am!!!

Hi C.,
This seems to happen to us every time one of the boys gets sick. We just put them back on their old schedule, usually with little or no fuss.

It's like Daylight Savings: you just get baby up, "on time." No sleeping in. Then, back on her usual up/down schedule.

Good luck!

My son and daughter both got the same thing this month. He is 2 1/2 and she is going to be 8 months. I try to keep her up and play with her until she starts crying because she is tired. I have also started rocking her at the same times daily for naps and bedtime as well as try to get the feedings on the same schedule.

It is starting to work again for having her sleep, but now she is getting her top two teeth at the same time. So, she's not happy nor wanting to sleep.

Have you tried waking her up at a half way decent time more on her normal schedule then letting her take her nap like normal? If she tries to take a long one, wake her up with the nap as well and then put her to bed at her normal time. You will have to do it everyday until she gets back to "normal".
