Ok so I have a 2 yr old 37 lbs that is leaking thru every diaper i've tried. I have an older son & at the time they didnt make huggie overnite which i've been using for my little one & they worked wonders till just laterly!! So i tried the underjams but they are too big on his little waist, i even tried putting tightie whities over them and rubber banding the side to make them tighter and thats not working. My oldest son was thicker at this age so putting goodnites on him w/ a pair of undies over them worked great.. sooo to say the least I'm outta ideas here...lol Now I've read older post and saw about putting a poise maxi pad in a diaper. My question is.. should I put him in a size 7 pampers and then double it up or what? and if I do double up his diaper do I put the poise up further to the front or do you put in further to the back? I give him milk about 7 and don't put his pj's on or his diaper till it's a few mins before bedtime, which is 8pm. Soo with that being said he usually isn't a heavy pee-er. I have him in generic diapers during the day.. no prob. but at night it's a whole nother ballgame. So I dont know what to do and what i use to do doesnt work. Any suggestions or directions on how to double up would be great. Thanks mamas :)

So What Happened?

I've tried goodnites and underjams size small. But he's a little guy with out a big waist. So they aren't working but the Huggies overnites he's leaking out of and the goodnites/underjams are too big that they wiggle down so he's leaking out of the tops.. :(

I would stop the 7 pm milk and just give him milk to drink at dinner and nothing afterwards. That might help with the overnight leaks and is a good habit to break as potty-training approaches over the course of this year. I've had really great luck with Pampers Extra Protection diapers (their overnights) and at 37 lbs. your son would wear a size 5. Size 7 diapers seem WAY too big for a child his size. You could also try a regular Pull-Up over a diaper. They make those in much smaller sizes than Goodnights and Underjams. Good luck!

Have you tried the GoodNights brand? They have a size small that should work. Our kids both used them starting at that age. GoodNights work terrific!

ETA: Just saw your update. Have you tried Luvs brand before? Our son used to leak in other brands but Luvs worked wonders. He just peed a whole lot at night, so we had to use GoodNights.

I put a Huggie overnight on my son and then a regular pampers over that. I also try to limit the amount of liquid he has after 6:00 p.m. Good luck!

Have you tried different brands of diapers...? I love huggies and my kids are/were both heavy night wetters. Put more of the diaper in the front for the boy (you knew that I'm sure). I don't think doubling diapers would work very well as the barrier between them wouldn't allow the ourter one to absorb anything.
