I am having an incredible amount of ants in my kitchen this summer and we can't seem to get rid of them. I think we are going to break down and call someone but don't know who to call. Can anyone recommend a pest control company that sprays but is safe for a toddler and two dogs?
Thanks!

Try calling Pete's Pest Control ###-###-####. We use them, and they do a great and thorough job, and are very reliable.
Terro liquid ant baits work great. I haven't gotten any other product to work. Walgreens carries them. Good luck,

Hi M.,
Before you call an exterminator, try TAT for getting rid of them. We had the same problem & this spray (which you can get at Ace Hardware, Menards, etc.) is the only thing that worked. It's in a red/white can with big black letters TAT. Good luck!
I know you asked for a company that sprays, but you may want to try this first. Believe it or not, I used the Raid ant bait/traps this spring and they worked within 7 days (and we had a freakin colony!). We are still ant-free and were able to 'hide' them out of reach of our two cats (our baby is 4 1/2 months, so it wasn't an issue).
Hi M.,
Just a thought, but you may not want to call a pest control company since you are pregnant. All those fumes (even though they claim to be "safe") would not be good.
Have you tried those ant bait "houses" type things?
I know how annoying those little buggers can be. We had them in our last house and the ant baits (by Raid, I think) worked great.
I also have some info on environmentally safe cleaning products that would be safe for you to use while pregnant that have some bug killing properties (I know that may sound like it doesn't make sense, but it does . . .wink). Best of luck!

We've used Terro to get rid of ants before - especially those little sugar ants. You put a small amount onto a piece of paper or index card. Leave it in the back corner of your counter or inside a cabinet where the ants go, but out of reach of your toddler and dogs. The ants bring it back to their nest because it's sweet, and it kills them all.
