I had that problem with baby #1. My doc told me to wear skirts w/out panties whenever possible. And that solve my problem. Apparently being preggo and sweating in the summer time was an itchy mix. Hope you feel better soon!
I'm about 19-20 weeks pregnant and had 4 abscessed teeth that they put me on antibiotics for then about day 2 or 3 I started itching down there, nothing crazy just really annoying, it doesn't smell really bad (TMI I know) but it's bugging the heck out of me and it's not really going away.. I've never had a yeast infection before so I wouldn't know how to tell if that's what it was anyway but could this be because of the antibiotics? Or just because I'm pregnant.. I know he told me it all changes down there (even though it didn't really with #1) I'm going to call the doc in a bit just wanted to see what you guys think..

i hate taing antibiotics because 99% of the time I end up with a yeast infection. Even when I took probiotics and ate plain yogurt (no sugar) and cut out ALL sugar while on them. Since you have never had one before, get it checked to make sure.
I also get one while pregnant,. Those hormones really get us.
Anti-biotics can cause yeast infections. Check with your ob/gyn for an appropriate solution.
Is it a yeast infection? Probably.
Could it be because you are pregnant? Yes.
Could it be because you are taking antibiotics? Yes
Definitely call your OB. He/she can prescribe something. You might also ask about topical creams. I know my OB had her favorite, and it's now mine! It helped so much with the itching. I can't tell you how much better I felt. It was amazing!
FYI, Probiotics (I eat yogurt) will help keep the bacterial and fungi in your body in balance while you're taking antibiotics. For many people, doing that will prevent yeast (fungal) infections.
Start taking probiotics and eating organic yogurts... limit your sugar intake as well.
For women, it's a smart prophylactic precaution to just start on probiotics and organic yogurt whenever they take antibiotics for whatever reason.
Yes, some antibiotics are notorious for giving yeast infections!
Ask your Dr.
For me.... both daughter and I can't take antibiotics without also have an RX for the Diflucan pill for yeast infection.
More than likely it IS becuz of the antibiotics, they rid you of good as well as bad germs everywhere, I am not sure of the exact reason medically speaking that they cause problems in the WORSE possible places but anywho, call your Dr. & get some relief, since you are PG just diagnosing yourself isn't a good idea. Best to you as I know you are suffering. :(
I had one itchy yeast infection after another when I was pregnant with baby #1. It was hell! They make a pill that you can take for it now, but not sure if you can have it when you're prego. Call the doc and ask them about it. Getting yeast infections on antibiotics is very common!
It's most likely a yeast infection. I treat them by putting a garlic clove inside, but I don't know how safe that is when you're pregnant.
