Hi. My daughter is almost 2, and we have a lil boy on the way in July. I will be going back to work the beginning of next yr (yaaay!) and til about May will be able to use my mom to help babysit while hubby and I work. Right now Im interested in finding a great place to put my lil girl part time to help her socialization skills PLUS to use full time once my mom can no longer help us out. We live in Casselberry and any suggestions would be great!

What can I do next?

Aloma Methodist church has a really, really, really great lady in the 1 year old class, which is I think where your daughter would be since she was one when the school year started. There is a max of 4 children in the classroom on any given day (or 6 if she is in one of the 2 year old classes). MaryLou is the awesome 1 year old teacher, and Barbara the director has been there for at least 8 years, maybe more-- MaryLou has been there way longer. Low turn over rate at the school. The core hours are 9-1 or you can pay a bit more for early drop off or late pick up. Tell them Tammi sent you!

I also looked at Tuskawilla Mthodist's preschool program. I don't know anyone there, but the school seemed great and I may switch next year because it's closer to my home.

Check out "Go Play! Preschool" in Altamonte Springs (SR 436 across from Altamonte Mall in Publix shopping Center). All 3 of my boys attend there and LOVE it! they have super flexible programs that range from 3-9 hours, 2-5 days a week, based on your needs. They use some methods similar to Montessori (small classes, individual attention, hands-on learning), but with imagination & creativity & play. They are also a VPK provider when the time comes. Highly trained and caring teachers, amazing facility- this is NOT a typical preschool or daycare. www.321goplay.com

Good Luck to you!

Not sure where you will be working vs. live but if you work in the Lake Mary area you might want to consider Kids Together - great environment, loving teachers, and excellent activities. They have a part time program and are flexible. They also offer VPK and Kindergarten.

I also heard Kids R Kids in Apopka is good.

I know this is a tough decision so good luck!

Not sure what area you're looking in, but Kids R Kids Apopka on Welch Rd. is fabulous! They just opened in Feb, and my 14 mo old goes there. Since they just opened, the classes are still pretty small, which is great for your child. Less exposure to germs! I know they do both part time and full time. GL!
