If you're a chef, it sounds like it might be good. If not, it sounds like a huge waste of money.
I recently attended Saladmaster cooking demonstration. Im still thinking if it's really worth it. The cooking set costs 2K ++ .
Does anyone had them before ? What's the pros and cons ?
THanks.

I don't know anything about Saladmaster, but from looking at their website, it seems awfully similar to KitchenCraft (http://www.cookforlife.com/products.cfm#), which I saw a demostration of a few ago and decided to buy some of it. I had "buyer's remorse" the next day and cancelled everything but their electric skillet (because I really one) and their "crock-pot" (it really is nice as the pot sits on top of the cooking surface).
I really like the electric skillet, but I truly think I could have purchase something much, much (much, much) cheaper that would have worked as well. I was sold on the electric skillet's "Liquid Core"... but compare the Liquid Core electric skillet on the Kitchen Craft site and the Versa Touch Electric Skillet on the Saladmaster site... as well as the Vapor Valve for the Kitchen Craft (http://www.cookforlife.com/feature.cfm) vs the Vapo Valve on the Saladmaster (http://www.saladmaster.com/alt/whyExcProd1.htm). I'm not saying either is bad... I'm just not so sure they are unique as they purport to be and I do think they were very, very, very overpriced.
The cons were really the price, though. The skillet I bought was very good and cleans up super easy. Plus, being very heavy-weight, it cooks very evenly. I do like using it, I just think it was very pricey. If it lasts as long as they say it will, perhaps it will be worth it in the long run... I'll let you know in 20 years. ;-)

My mother has a set that she has had since the 70's and she has NEVER had to buy another piece of cookware. The carrott grinder is the coolest, I have fond memories of making carrot salad as a kid. The electric skillet is also awsome. My mom made pot roast in it every Sunday growing up. So I would highly recommend it. You may have to spend quite a bit of money up front, but you will never buy again. Think of how many times you may have already replaced cookware and how much it cost. I am a married mom of three boys. Thanks D.
My mom bought Saladmaster in the 60's. She has always raved about it. Just a couple months ago, she told me about one of the pan lids with a problem. She called Saladmaster and they sent her a new one. NO fees out of her pocket whatsoever.
As for me personally, I love All-Clad. It is $ as well but I love it. Don't go cheap. I think my 10 piece set of All-clad was about $600 on sale. The smaller pots (1 qt or so run about $120.) All Clad has a similar warranty.
Good luck!
I use Saladmaster daily and I can say that it is the best investment ever.
1. The healthy benefit of having the 316Ti stainless steel that does not corrode into my food.
2. Energy efficient. I can cook anything on the stovetop instead of using the hot and costly oven.
3. CMA Approved - “In my 16 years with the CMA I have never had any consumer complaints regarding product quality or service from Saladmaster owners. I believe their product, while costly, is the highest quality on the market.” Hugh J. Rushing, Executive VP, CMA (Cookware Manufactures Association)
Do not buy!! They are way, way too expensive for what you get. You can get an extremely high quality cookware set at a significantly lower price. They will also try to lure you in with free gifts that are NOT free. Good luck!
The sets are definitely worth it if you can afford them. They're made from 316Ti stainless steel which is great for safe cooking, retaining nutrients and keeping natural flavors in your food. Check out this blog for more info about the cookware material -> https://saladmaster.com/en-us/deliciousperspectives/salad...
Plus the cookware is extremely durable, it will last a lifetime with proper care and use. That's what many people don't understand. When you pay for Saladmaster cookware set, yeah you may pay large price tag, but you don't have to worry about replacing your cookware every so often. You will probably spend more replacing your cookware often compared to paying one time for Saladmaster. So something to think about if you're able to see the big picture in things!
