Yes, I've had the hysto-gram...
To be honest - it was a tad painful...and I've got a good tolerance for pain...i had cramping and some spotting afterwards...the technician was VERY nice!! And did her best to ensure I was VERY comfortable and let me watch the whole thing....
EDIT: I was VERY nervous....
It took us almost 4 years to get pregnant...we were on clomid, did the BBT and nothing happened...so when the choice was IVF - we said ENOUGH!!! We went back to having sex for fun and stopped thinking about babies and getting pregnant...we got a dog and 4 months later we were pregnant..
I would consult a Endochronologist...if you haven't already. PCOS is a label that many doctors like to put on women when they have irregular periods, etc. without really diagnosing it...
I understand where you are coming from...my mom had everything out at 36...my sister had hers out at 38...all the women on my mother's side had their stuff out by the time they were 40...so I do understand the nerves....
Has your hubby's guys been checked? If he doesn't have a lot - it may not be you that's holding up the show! :)
I know it's easier said than done - but don't stress...
