Anyone Familiar with a Subchorionic Hemorrhage in Pregnancy?

Last week I was admitted to the hospital bc of a violent stomach bug and dehydration. I am 9 weeks pregnant and while there, they did a sono to check on the baby. While the baby looked fine, they did discover I have a small subchorionic hemorrhage. This is my 4th pregnancy and I have never heard of this before. While my OB doesn't seem worried, she did mention I could spot and said most resolve on their own. However some do not and can result in miscarriage. I made the mistake of googling this and have freaked myself out. Has anyone had any experience with this or have any encouraging info to give me? Feeling a bit anxious at the moment. Thank you!

What can I do next?

Yes. I'm looking at my 12 year old son now, who was my subchorionic hemorrhage baby. I rushed to the hospital 10 weeks pregnant sure that I was having a miscarriage because I was bleeding so badly. They did an u/s, confirmed that all looked well and sent me home and told me not to worry. It wasn't easy to not worry, but I had a few more days of spotting and then that was it. I carried him to term and there were no other complications. Hopefully you have no spotting at all and it just resolves on its own. They are more common than we know because most have no symptoms and go away on their own.

Best of luck to you!

I'm 39 weeks pregnant, and around 10 weeks I started bleeding. Ultrasound confirmed sch, doctor said it would likely clear up on its own. She was right!

I never had a name for it, but at about 10 weeks I bled like a full on period for a week. I was pretty sure that was it, we were done. But he's 12 now....

If your doctor isn't concerned, don't get freaked out by what you find on the internet.
