Anyone Know of a Good Tailor?

When I went back to work after my little one was born, I was WAY to small for maternity clothes, and WAY too big for my pre-pregnancy clothes, so I ended up buying a whole new work wardrobe. Well, now I've lost the baby weight (plus some!) and don't want the money I spent to have been wasted. I have decent enough sewing skills that I could just do the alterations myself, but I would feel much more comfortable having a pro do it. Does anyone have any suggestions of someone who is fairly inexpensive but does good work? I live in midtown but am out and about all over the greater metro area, so location really isn't an issue. Thanks! :)

There is a great place off of the Plaza called Hallelujiah Alterations. A lady named Lily owns it and she is fantastic! It's extremely reasonably priced and she does a good job in a short amount of time. I also like to go just to talk to Lily because she is so nice and such an amazing woman! It's around 43rd and Holly.

Not sure how much they are, but I have used them in the past and would go back to them as they did GREAT work. Lucky's alteration - 8107 N Oak Trfwy - ###-###-####. They are north of the river.

I don't remember the name of the place, but there is a shop in Metro North Mall right across from Kelso's pizza that does a good job and is reasonable. I've taken pants to be hemmed there.

There is a good tailor called Slabotsky's in the Bryant Building at 1102 Grand downtown. I know you are in midtown so it really should not be that far, and you can often park in front of the store or nearby. They are really a men's wear store, but they do tailoring for women as well and everyone I know who has used them is very satisfied with their work. Hope this helps!
