My husband is an Ignite rep which is Stream energy
I believe they have some lower rates available

I currently have TXU and in the past 3 months my bill has gone up and I mean way up. My bill for the past 5 yrs are usually around $190 , it never goes over $200, and these past 3 months it has come in at $330-$350 I have tried calling them but they are no help whatsover. I am not doing anything differently to use more energy.
Does anyone recommend another light company, that you have been happy with?I used to have Reliant before TXU , and have tried switching back, but they are now asking for $500 deposit, which at this time I can't afford.

We have used Spark Energy for the past 2 years and have not had any problems.
You can go to
http://www.powertochoose.org/_content/_compare/compare.aspx
compare the different companies that are available in your area. It list not only their rates but their contract terms and early cancellation fees.
Although the rates may only vary by a couple of cents it can make a big difference on your bill. Look at your last couple of bills and see how many KWH you used and then multiply it by the different rates. It can be a difference of $50 or more dollars.
Hi, We had Reliant as well and boy our bill kept going wayyyy up. We switched to Stream Energy. Our summer bills have been way less than we used to pay. They are a great company with terrific customer service. Good Luck!
I've switched over to Gexa and have been pleased. They don't have all the bells and whistles of Reliant, but the prices are good.
Stream energy has saved us a lot of money. We recently switched from Reliant.
go to Power to choose. They will list all companies and there prices. I have Gexa. I love them. Make sure to get a fixed rate!
TXU is horrible!!! They have no customer service whatsoever!! I even wrote an editorial to our newspaper about their service. I use Direct Energy now and like them.
