I would stay away from any diet pill. I'm a physical therapist and have a background in pre and post natal fitness and there are so many better ways to get healthy. Any diet pill you take, may or maynot help you loose weight but it isn't the healthy way to do it and more than likely the weight isn't going to stay off for very long. Most diet pills help you shed water weight, which is not what you want to loose(it's the fat). The best way to get healthy is with healthy eating habits and regular exercise! There is nothing better that you can do for your body than that. I'll never forget something one of my professors said when I was in school. She said "what do the first 3 letters of diet spell? " That really hit home for me that fad diets aren't the way to go. Dr. Oz's book "You on a diet" has some really great info in it about our bodies and making healthy eating choices. As for exercise you have to find what works best for you lifestyle! I personally love exercising outside and as a family. On of my favorite ways that I get a fun workout with my kids is through Stroller Strides! Good luck and have fun getting healthy!

I'm with Melanie on this one. It's about an attitude change and a lifestyle change.

I hate exercise! Still, I've made an effort to get up 1/2 hour earlier each day and just stretch or do some yoga. It was a struggle for me, but I instantly felt better, breathed easier and had more energy- so I see it is so worth it. I won't lie- I still have those days where it is very hard or skip a day or two here and there.

As for diet, I bought some frozen veggies and I sneak those into everything my family eats- rice, mac and cheese, pasta, beans, even into the eggs in the morning. I'm trying to create a lasting change here and I know that the best way to do that is through small, consistent baby steps.

You can do it too- Good luck!

I tried it and lost 60 lbs in about 10 months. There is the side effect that everyone is talking about however. You do get oily stools, the more fat you eat the oilier the stools. However I found that it helped me watch my fat intake to avoid it. Other than that there are no side effects. It is nonsystemic, so its not absorbed into your blood stream and wont affect any other part of your body.

Good luck,
D.

btw.....if you decide to do it, costco has the best prices on it and Walmart afterwards if you dont have a costco card.

Hi M. - Based on what I've learned from several sources I don't believe that Alli or many other weight loss pills offer enough weight loss to justify the cost or the side effects, especially when you can do even better with some healthy dietary changes and regular exercise. I've got an interesting short voice recording I can email you on this topic from a Dr. I respect and admire who teaches dietary excellence and has a more effective program that can help sustain weight loss for the long term. I can also teach you some healthy ways to lose weight more quickly and for the long term that is based on good nutrition rather than a questionable and expensive pill. If you'd like to hear it, just email me at ____@____.com and I'll forward it to you.

Hi M.,
I don't know about the Alli pill. In fact, I have had 1 friend try it but couldn't handle the side effects, but I would suggest just trying to change your life in a healthy way. I thought about the pill when it came out too, but I am a part of a mommy fitness group called Stroller Strides in Anaheim Hills, we work out with the strollers and bring the kids with us. It has really helped me lose the extra baby fat and stay healthy and a good role model for my kids. Its just another alternative to the alli pill. Good luck with everything, keep us posted on what you decide to do.

Alli is a great tool to have in your dieting bag of tricks. However, I wouldn't count on exclusively. I would also eat healthy and do some light exercise.

I've heard really bad things about it. If you eat anything off the recomended diet...some people have leaked nasty yellow stuff...from their bottom:O I did weight watcher and it worked great for me.

Hearing about it's side effects I decided Alli wasn't for me! However, I have successfully used Chitosorb by Neways!
It grabs onto the fat when you eat it making it too big of a molecule to absorb, thus it comes out in your bowels, normally ~ not runny, nor messy causing instant 'runs' to the bathroom! It's good if you are out and can't avoid some of the fat items. It's very user friendly. Let me know if you want to try it @ whlsl w a 30 day $back guarantee. J.

Don't do it! I've heard so many of my friends who have tried it say it's like pooping cooking oil! Gross! Try something natural like Herbalife first. If you need a consultant, I can refer you to mine. She's awesome, and I am losing pounds and inches on her program.

Hi M.:

I've tried it and did not care for it. You really have to be strict with yourself and don't cheat by eating more fat than recommended. I had what they call "treatment effects" and didn't even feel it. What's worse is I had them days later...not the same day I had higher fat consumption. TMI! I stopped taking it and decided I just wasn't ready for such a strict diet. On the other hand, my friend used it with no "treatment effects" but didn't lose any weight. My advice is to start with a low- to no-fat diet at least two weeks prior to taking the pill and to seriously read the material provided in the starter kit and on the alli website. They say it works if you're disciplined and serious about it. Good luck to you!

Hi M.,
My mother actually works at a the third leading pharmeutical company so she lets me know about all the weird side affects of new pills that come out. I thought that Alli looked like a good diet pill so I asked her about it and she said that it was really effective. The downfall is that if you eat anything with a fat content or a small amount of grease you will have the poops almost right away.

After hearing that I decided not to take it so I dont know this from personal experience its the things I have heard.
Good Luck.
