Appliance Recommendations

I vote for Maytag in there too......had a dishwasher that was awesome from them.

I don't like GE......Frigidaire can be ok sometimes......Whirlpool is good too.....good luck and congrats on getting new appliances!! Oh, and mine are black, I love them in black.......

About 6 yrs ago we were in the market for a larger refridgerator. Without any thought to what brand we bought what suited our needs best. Last year we needed to buy a new stove after buying a new house, again we bought what fit our needs. As it turned out they are both Maytag and have not had any problems with either of them. They are not top of the line, just what fit into our budget. We have been totally pleased with our purchases and the next time we ever have to shop for appliances again we will still look to best fit our needs without all the fancy stuff and hype.

We built our home 10 yrs ago. We put in the best GE Profile and THEY SUCK. Within 3-5 yrs, everything was falling apart.

We upgraded with Maytag and guess what....THEY SUCK. neither the top of the line dishwasher or fridge lasted more than 5 yrs.

About 2 yrs ago, we upgraded AGAIN and we got Kitchen Aid. LOVE THEM

We bought the fridge and dishwasher at Best Buy (we love working with Best Buy), we got the cooktop at Rodenbaugh's in Allen. Great service with both.

I am now a happy mom with my appliances and my kitchen.

In the past year we have bought a stove/oven & fridge/freezer. For the stove/oven we went GE & I love it! One great feature I feel you should get no matter what brand, is a central griddle. We use ours all the time- burgers in the winter, sausage & bacon, grilled sandwiches, etc.
For the fridge we went with a Whirlpool and it has met our needs. We have refridgerator top, freezer on bottom with a water & ice maker on door. The only thing Whirlpool doesn't offer is a specific meat drawer. One feature I really like are the cup holders on the inside door. They work great for sippy cups.

Whirlpool, Kitchenaid, and Bosch are the best on the market right now. I have gone through 3 dish washers and my Whirlpool was the best (but I sold my house and miss it).

I always had GE Profile. Two years ago we replaced all the appliances again with GE Profile and I hate them. My stove has never worked, I have had it repaired 4 times and it still will not light on it's own. I think every part has been replaced that can be replaced. My dishwasher isn't that great, and one shelf in my refrigerator has already broken. I will NEVER buy GE again. I am interested in your responses for future reference.
