I was wondering if anyone has used The Cocoon sleeper by Arm's Reach for their newborn. Did it work well? How did you like it? How long was it used? I'm also considering the Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper, so if you have thoughts on that, please let me know. Thank you!

I used the Cocoon Sleeper, and LOVED it. My son slept in it from day 1 until 6 months when he became to large for it (he weighed 25lbs and was about 29") It was very easy to put him back to sleep by gently swaying it. He had reflux and it helped a lot with that issue because he was able to inclined slightly as opposed to flat on a mattress. My sis is now using it with her new baby and loves it as well.

HI SK
I used the cosleeper, I don't remember if it's a mini, it's been 6 years now. I used it till my daughter was 5 months for bed time and naps. At 5 months she started to try to pul herself up in it. So I just used it at night when I was there.
Good luck, A. H

I used the mini-co-sleeper as a bassinet in our bedroom (not as a co-sleeper attached to the bed). Nothing else would fit in the space that we needed! It's great! I love that it's high off the ground, and sturdy. I love that there's storage underneath where I keep blankets. Due to reflux, I am even able to put some towels under one end of the mattress to elevate my son's head.

I used the Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper. Well, I had it, I don't know that we used it that much, heh. The size was perfect, large enough for a 0-6 month old and not too big that I couldn't get around it. It secured safely to the bed. I liked the storage pockets.
I ended up letting my baby sleep by me and nurse all night in the beginning and had a hard time breaking the habit so I didn't use the co-sleeper.
If I had it to do again, I would nurse, then lay him in the bassinet in the hospital, then start from day 1 at home laying him in the cosleeper to sleep.
Good luck!

The Co-Sleeper is great. I had planned to have mine in his crib from the start but he had other plans. The Co-Sleeper is a great compromise. He/She is in their own bed but you can lay on your stomach and still have your arm around them with out putting them in danger.

I used a co-sleeper with my daughter and LOVED it. Having her so close at night was wonderful. It made night nursing very easy, she felt safe and secure knowing Mama and Papa were very close. If we have another child, I will use it again.

I'm sorry it wasn't the brand you specified so I don't have input on that. But just wanted to throw in my experience using a co-sleeper in general. I think they are great.
