Last year we had our daughters 9th birthday at Smashing Times but the name has changed and it is Mosaic something. It is on the same corner as Strikz in Frisco. The kids had a GREAT time and we would go back.
I would love to hear about your birthday party experiences at art-based locations in McKinney, Frisco, Allen, or Plano. I'm thinking of painting, pottery, or another creative activity that would be suitable for a group of 6 year-old girls. I am not looking for locations (I think I've seen everything out there by now!) but your personal experiences with birthday parties at those locations. Good? Bad? So-so? And I'd like to know why, so my hubby and I can make the most informed decision for my daughter's party.
We decided to have the party at Art House. What fun! Everyone painted on canvas, and the kids older than 4 had a wonderful time. It was a bit overwhelming (sitting for the length of time) for the younger ones, but I was very pleased with the way the party went!

My 6 year old daughter just went to a party (for another 6 year old) and she had a great time. There were boys and girls (ranging in age from 5-7) and everyone loved it. FYI - this party was at Walls of Clay.

We had my son's birthday party at the ArtHouse on Eldorado in McKinney last year. They painted t-shirts and had a wonderful time. I can't say enough great things about that experience.
We had our daughter's 6-year birthday party at Walls of Clay at the square in downtown McKinney. It was okay but felt like the staff needed to be a little bit more involved in helping the kiddos...there were 3 staff members and I felt like I was doing most of the work. The items we chose for the kids to paint were on the smallish side & did not take long to paint. However, the kids LOVED it & once they got their pottery back, my daughter was the hit of Kindergarten! Good luck!
