My friend had 4 kiddos by C-Section. She had a doc that was well educated for this. She did fine. They did do more appointments that I did when I was pregnant but I think it was just a precaution.
I have had 3 repeat c section.i want to have another child.have anyone had a fourth c section and how did it go.

What does your OB say?
My OB told me after my second that additional pregnancies would be high risk because of the risks of accumulating scar tissue.
I'm sure every woman heals differently, so your risks are likely individual to you.
Know two peoe that had 4 c sections. Some scar tissue to get thru but other than that, no problems.
I've had 4 c-sections, the most recent being 10 mos ago. When my doctor was in there he saw very little scar tissue, a strong uterus, and told me I should have no problem having as many as 7 (not that I'm going to try to do that).
My recovery for c-sections 2-4 was no more difficult than my 1st. But, everyone is different, and every body heals differently.
Have your doctor examine you before you try to conceive so you can get a medical opinion based on your own body.
Hi M.-
I've had 4 C-sections. And I'm "advanced maternal age"!! I had c-sections at 31, 37, 39 and 41. I had no problems. My Doctors expressed no concerns about performing a 4th surgery. I have easy pregnancies and I'm pretty healthy. My last C-section was the easiest. Talk with your OB who knows your medical history and discuss your concerns.
Good Luck!

Dear M.,
Each C-section has more risk than the previous. Most women who have a C-section are told to consider limiting their family to two children. I had my first C-section in 2006 and was told to limit to two. I had my second in 2010 after a failed VBAC attempt. Unfortunately, I personally know of two women who had 4 C-sections. One died after the baby was born - she had a massive hemorrhage the next day and died. The other had a major stroke during the operation. She is not dead but is in a wheelchair for life and unable to care for herself or her four children (baby was already out when she had stroke).
Do some research. C-sections are meant to be life saving for either baby or mother but not meant to be repeated....think about the three children you have today. Is it worth it?

My SIL had 3 c-sections, then had an oops pregnancy for the 4th that ended up as a miscarriage. When they did the D&C her uterus ruptured and she ended up having an emergency hysterectomy. Totally happened at the scar tissue site. So while you can see from the responses below, it can be done, but please talk with your doctor and proceed with caution - if SIL had gone full term it would most likely have been disastrous.
A few years later they were actually ready for #4 and adopted a beautiful baby girl.
I've had 4 sections. I actually had the least complications with my 4th.
Ask for at least one medical opinion. The opinions I received from my own doctor and from his colleague were a gentle but firm "stop at two." I had a medical concern unrelated to scarring which made it all a bit too risky.
After my aunt had her 3rd child, she was told that she shouldn't have anymore being that the area is so delicate and takes years to truly heal from the inside correctly. She went on and had a 4th, 5th and a 6th. The only difference was instead of cutting her on the horizontal, they cut her tummy vertical. So now she has this huge scar on her tummy. However, everyone is different. Whose to say that this would be your case.
I had four c-sections. My last was born in August of 2013. Everything went fine and good. The only thing my doctor was concerned was my test came positive for downs and had high blood pressure(even though I was on medicine and it was fine). Anyway I did good without any problems.
A relative of mine had all six of her children via c-section. And each pregnancy was more dangerous than the last.
A friend of mine had 4 c sections. I remember her getting a lot of infections in the c-section scar area after her 4th.
You should talk to your OBGYN and ask his or her opinion.
