Avent Bottles

I have Avent bottles from my first son (3 years old). Now that we're expecting our 2nd, I'm going to replace the old bottles with new BPA free bottles. Any ideas on what to do with the old ones? It seems a shame just to throw them away, but I don't know who would want them since they're not BPA free...

I don't know if the old Avents did this, but I bought them and hate them because they leak non-stop. I heard to pull the nipple or tighten them tighter but nothing keeps them from leaking. There have been times that my daughter is soaked from the formula leaking. My friend uses born free and loves them. I haven't used them myself but I recommend them. I tried Gerber Nuk, I like them except when you need to shake a bottle the cap doesn't cover the nipple completely and they leak like crazy.

Take them back to Babies R Us, and they will give you credit to purchase new BPA-free bottles. So essentially, you'll get them for free. I just did this a couple of months ago.

Congratulations on Baby #2!

We just put our old bottles in the recycle bin.

Babies R Us was taking them back and replacing them as part of the recall. I would take them there and see if they still will do that for you.

We had the same issue. I think we put ours out in the recycling bin...
