I don't know who else to ask, so I thought I'd post it here for the "world" to see. :o) For those of you who breastfed, did your breast size go down after you weaned? I already was so small, but now it seems like I've gone down an entire cup size!! Is this typical or no?

What can I do next?

Hi, I know exactly what you mean I was in the same shoes, mine were small before big during breasfeeding but smaller than the beginning after breastfeeding, if it makes you feel better, my husband says they look like those of a starving mum. (not to mention that I also lost lots of weight which I don't mind) My mum said with time they will get better not as full but will begin to look a little more normal and yes they have. My doctor said that I have fiber cystic breasts not to say that's what you have. So yes it does happen and not to you alone. I just read what Cindy wrote and that was one of my problems too one breast being larger than the other but now they have evened out(after 2 years).

Yes, you can lose some in the breast size after breastfeeding. But, that's not such a bad thing. You are beautiful with or without the largest breasts in town.

I lost a lot up top when i finished breasfeeding. Granted, I was huge (F) now, I'm a double D and still thinking about having reduction. I wish it had taken more off when I quit. With smaller breasts, backaches are less. A lot less.

Way down! I lost a whole cup size! And I just had augmentation to put back what the kids took away. It was very depressing. You're not alone!

M.,

I've heard it is different for everyone, but one of my closest friends lost a full cup size down to an A. It is not unheard of, so do not think that there is anything wrong.

Congratulations on your beautiful little one!

I went up a size after my first child (I breastfeed 12 weeks) and then with my second child (I pumped for about a month) one of them stayed the same and the other went down a whole size. So, I have two different sized boobs now...which makes it impossible to find a bra. So, even though your boobs got smaller, at least they are not two totally different sizes. :)

As pps mentions, it just depends. My sister went down a size and I went up one. We both went down to our original weight pre pg so that wasn't the issue. I also know women who didn't bf who report the same 50/50 type results. I don't know if it's really the breastfeeding that affects breast size or just pregnancy weight gain and then loss.

So yes, I think you're results are totally normal. :)
